And again there is a lot of talk of this being a fixed fight from pros behind the scenes.

Listen what choice did he have.Even he smashed Canelo for twelve rounds he’d still get beat on the cards, better to get knocked out and paid lol.
Maybe I’m exaggerating a little but Boxing has always been about politics and you can tell by the commentators how they all keep telling us the same s*** that he’s the cash cow.
Canelo couldn’t put a dent in Cotto,Jacobs or Golovkin and he’s now knocking out Heavyweights

    What nonsense?

The nonsense that their is a good possibility that Canelo indeed consume contaminated meat? Well, that's on you.

Lab director who conducted the test said the findings were consistent with the consumption of tainted meat.
A hair follicle test that can detect clenbuterol up to longer than a year came back negative.
Highly respected PED expert with no stakes in Canelo said that Canelo has redeemed himself.
Canelo enrolled in VADAs 365/24/7 program and paid for it out of his own pocket and while under that program proceeded to kick GGGs ass, get a belt at 168, and beat Jacobs.

But you keep hating possibly the only fighter right now who can achieve legendary status.

Lol there’s a difference to being smashed around and getting knocked out.Canelo landed his signature right on Golovkin and Golovkin laughed in his face.

You're losing it. You really need a break. GGG wanted Mexican style, got Mexican style and left looking like Michael Jackson in the thriller video.

no, i understand the suspicion, but pushing it as fact is something else, it affects a mans reputation. i have stated numerous times that canelo cheated, one of his samples tested positive, a subsequent test of the sample also tested positive. there is no excuse for that, he is a professional who is responsible for everything that he ingests, no exceptions.
from my understanding he has submitted himself to stringent testing since then. he has not tested positive again, and i cant find any credible evidence of him cheating.
was his suspension a joke? yes. does it affect my honest assessment of him as a fighter? no.

I'll throw this essay in the hat.

Reason A. Canelo is a PED cheat whose power is not only carrying but actually increasing relative to opponents as he goes up in weight, his stamina also. At least Pac became less effective at 147. Canelo is the most suspect fighter in the game right now.

Reason B. Kov's punch resistance may have decreased. More than likely the short turn around from almost getting KO'd against Yarde was the main reason for the resistance problems. They suspend fighters in the UFC for months after a TKO and Kov basically experienced something like a stoppage, which is why Canelo swooped in at that point. Hydration limit may have played a role too.

Reason C. The terrible style reform of McGirt and Kov and team going along with it. 'Buddy' is a darling here but he's ruined Kovalev. He tried to take a middle-age power boxer with limited stamina and turn him into a young amateur style point-fighter (over 12 rounds no less). It was MORONIC. Now was not the time to turn Kovalev into Cleverly, and it was never the time. Power is the last to go, stamina the first. The guy has rare power. You use it.

Kovalev didn't have the stamina for a volume style and I believe it actually already failed in the Yarde fight as he gassed and almost got KO'd. By the time of the Canelo fight this 'new' style had clearly gone completely overboard where Kovalev was basically only jabbing now, it was very different to the Alvarez fight. Be honest, nobody has ever seen a fighter transformed like this, from a ferocious puncher to a featherfist, just by some ill-conceived ideas of a trainer. The closest is when Paddy tried to turn gassy Groves from a sniper into a volume puncher, before Groves finally realised he'd been compromised, but it wasn't this drastic.

Kov's style was already fairly safe because he boxed long and the power threat aided him. You take the power out, opponents just come after you, his power was part of his defence. Cleverly spoke of taking the power on the gloves and thinking 'I can't take these flush', making him very wary. Without that threat you get walked down by goddamn middleweights. Canelo basically said he sensed Kov was point fighting and then took it to him, proving my point.

McGirt castrated Kovalev, basically, and confused the hell out of him. Kov was never a face-first brawler and his style was basically fine, the fact he outboxed Ward proving that. Where did this myth come from he was just a KO happy guy who didn't use his jab etc? McGirt, trying to justify his own existence/job. Furthermore, in this fight it was OBVIOUS they needed KD's or KO and that the jab victory wouldn't mean much, GGG's second fight demonstrating that clearly. GGG still went for more power, btw. So Kov was not going to win with this style, it was ridiculous. If he was going to gas a bit, then understand that and try to get the job done. What happened here is he gassed anyway just from throwing a million useless jabs, all for nothing.

If Kov is to continue he needs to fight with less volume and more power, he needs to fight like he's a middle-age fighter not like a young amateur, understand his strengths (power/skill) and weaknesses (stamina/resistance) and get rid of this fraud coach who helped him get Khan-KO'd by a middleweight(albeit PED-ed).

Lastly, I think Duva, the manager and McGirt all need to be acknowledged as parasites who exploited the payday here, selling Kov out. I say this mainly because of the short turn around after almost being KO'd and the weight issue, they should have stood against that and at least demanded Kov had a full camp and no hydration changes. **** them.

Every sportswriter said that Kovolov was the cream of the crop, when it came to Beterbiev, Bivol, and Gvozdyk. When he lost, instead of eating their words like I did, all the conspiracies began to surface, he escaped from the elderly community, his shoes were too big, the referee slipped him some cash, those are the many examples. A great fighter knows his limitations, if he feels he can't cut the mustard, it is time to leave. Temptation to greed is what it is, temptation. He did not look impressive in his last three fights. Canelo Alvarez came prepared, and had a game plan. I was surprised because Kovalov had a really good trainer in Buddy McGirt, good fighter in his prime. Alvarez watched Sergey get gassed out, then fired his bomb, kayoing Kovolov.

It's plain and simple, he was told by the WBC he would not be ranked unless he enrolled to VADA 365.

So he enrolla un VADAs 365 programas which is the post stringent program they have and pays for it out of his own pocket....

...when he could have enrolled in the WBCs clean boxer program and had the WBC pick the tab up.

Think about it for a second and let your mind process this information.

I am of the opinion that Canelo fought Krusher at the right time. I would be skeptical of this version of Canelo choosing to fight peak Kovalev.
