You can argue that Persoon deserved a decision by a point or so.

Delfine Persoon deserved a decision and nothing else. She won the majority of the rounds and she also won the decisively, she was rag-dolling Taylor in the last 2 rounds too.

 

He's right, Persoon beat her black and blue. You only need to see the state of her face after the fight.

Taylor is a manufactured paper champion who ducked the rematch since her handlers knew she would receive the same treatment.

I wish her voice was fake. God, its horrible in the post fight interviews.

 

She's fake because she ducked a rematch with Persoon.

Trust me, Katie Taylor will give Persoon a rematch.

Taylor is just waiting for the Belgian railway policewoman to age a little bit more. Persoon is 2 months shy of her 35th birthday so it won't be too long yet.

 

Poor Katie, no matter how skilled she might be (not saying she is), or how brave (not saying she is), or how hard she works (I'm assuming she does actually work hard), she'll never be taken seriously and women's boxing will never get any respect.

To me, if you commit yourself to the life, and you fight with heart, it doesn't matter if you are a woman.

But, I accept that women's boxing is facing an uphill battle.

Many, and I might be on the fence, feel it is rather unseemly watching women batter each other bloody, and that 99% of female boxers aren't as technically proficient as the men.

That may well come with time, as women have got a lot of catching up to do.

Basically, look at her face and then ask yourself if she doesn't at least deserve some respect for getting in and having a go?

 

At the time even notoriously weak Strawweight is totally stacked compared to every female division out there, so I doubt it will ever catch up.
I have no problems with women's boxing at all, but only watch some of the bigger fights because the rest is just too low quality.
In multiple divisions you can enter the top50 without ever even winning a single fight, which tells you enough about the level and the talentpool.
