Like I have been saying for a while, Arslan is gonna get one more crack at the WBO belt. Crazy to think that the dude is 49.
Arslan was supposed to fight Kevin Lerana in February, but that won't happen and the WBC ordered a fight between Glowacki and Makabu for their vacant belt. Looking at the WBC rankings Makabu is number 1 and Lerana is number 3. Maybe the WBC will order this fight.
The impotant question is what drug tesying will be used. Arslan looks like a pro bodybuilder despite being 49 years old.
Seems that way. Last thing I heard was they're still undecided. What they were undesided about I don't know, because that fight was a total clusterfaq with Byrd refereeing about as legit as his wife's scorecards, and the fouls and mishaps that obviously influenced the outcome of the fight in a very big way. Regardless if you believe Briedis is much better (like me), this result could not stand in any way, shape or form. That said, Glowacki wacks old as faq Arslan in a glowing performance. No way Arslan walks away the oldest titleholder in history.
Fingers Crossed for Arslan! So in WBS final, Only Ibf championship will be on the line, hope there will be no delays for final now. I wonder is Briedis now a former Wbo champion or it counts as if he never was their champ! I understand Result stands!
I have no idea how they can keep the result up but take the belt away. That just doesn't make any sense whatsoever! You can't have it both ways, either you think what went on in that ring was legit (very unlikely) or you don't. But you can't say it was legit for a non-titlefight but not legit as a titlefight, as the rules that were in effect were the same either way. That's like a robber beating someone up and stealing their wallet, getting acquitted from the crime but has to return the wallet.
