They're called educated guesses. Nobody looks at an upcoming fight and says "this guy should be favored 4:1 because I like his hair cut". People who have spent years watching boxing are usually able to make a fair assessment of 2 fighters and determine one is clearly better than the other. The closer the odds, the more challenging it is to place a bet.

Its the same thing in every damn sport. If by some miracle the Detroit Lions somehow made it to the playoffs and faced off against the New England Patriots, you wouldn't see a bunch of articles and ESPN debates where people are wondering who would win.

But when people like you say silly stuff like an ancient Corbett, Tom Sharkey, and Gus Ruhlin can actually compares to Tyson's best wins, that's how silly you sound. So no, I dont know for a 100% "fact" how Tyson would do in Jefferies' back alley saloon brawling days, but the ingredients of years worth of watching boxing, common sense and educated guesses makes me 99.99% certain he'd steamroll through the competition and that his own resume is 10x better by ant standard.

And btw I could care less if you're convinced by this or not, Im simply stating my case. I'm not here to go back and forth with you because you have repeatedly demonstrated that you are disingenuous and agenda driven. The fact you are even challenging the idea Tyson's era was superior lets me know not to take you seriously.
