Should Donaire Call it a Day?

    For me personally I say no. I think after this fight he has more left to give. Obviously he is the only one who knows this but I feel he can still compete. His career has been HOF worthy being a 4 division champ. First guy to beat Omar Narvaez, took out Darchinyan in a brawl, had a classic war with Cesar Juarez, KOed a faded Arce but the KO was insane, and took the Monster the full length. Sure he has had downs along with the ups (Walters, Frampton) but I still feel he can compete. What do you think?

    After what I saw he has a couple of fights left in him, unless Naoya took too much from him today.
    But if he's able to keep making 118, he's surely among the very best despite his age.
    I would favor him over Tete, no joke.

    I honestly think he has nothing else to prove. He's only going to damage his body more and most likely lose more fights, especially after the punches he was taking from a beast like Inoue. I would rather he hang those gloves up now and retire in good health after a legendary Rocky-like performance.

    He beats everyone at 118 easy except for Inoue. But I don’t see the point in taking more damage.

    That fight was some brutal punches being thrown too.

    he's made more than enough to retire in the Philippine. He has already solidified himself as a HOF in my opinion. If a decent mega million fight should pan out, I say take it. I hope he doesn't continue for peanuts and become a stepping stone.

    This Donaire, vs Tete from the first round, yes. Tete was a bit lackluster there. I'm interested to see whether Tete's repaired shoulder gives him another dimension when he fights for the WBO belt in a few weeks.

    That's an assumption. I think Donaire would take a beating against the P.E.D. cheat, and he might not beat Tete.

    How about Nonito fights maybe Carlos Cuadras next? See exactly what hes got left. Thats a real nice fight IMO

    He did himself proud in the tournament, he can definitely still win some fights, but as long as he's financially set up I'd say retire, he's still a young man go enjoy life. He speaks very well also so a broadcasting career Is certainly an option for him.

    If he wants to go out on a high note kind of like Wladimir despite the loss, he should hang em up. He made good money too.

    But the way he looked last night, he still got it and he can fight on.

    Yes, donaire is half the boxer he was in his prime. Today he was at a low point in his career
