Really? You have actually watched the fights havent you? 2nd fight I would agree it could have gone either way BUT the first one? either you are hooking for Canelo or you dont know anything about boxing
Been watching boxing for 33 years now. Been to fights all up and down the west coast and out to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Ive shooken hands with Lennox Lewis, Roger Mayweather, Shan Mosely and Eddie Chambers among others. I've even been banned over 17 times from this forum for dropping truth and knowledge on to these part time, keyboard crusader fans. You know what I have never once given a good god d*** about? How many buys a fight, or a fighter generated. May be that means I'm not a real fan or something. I really just dont care
Well done, doesnt mean you know anything about boxing mate. I have shaken hands with Lennox too , Sugar ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler and Tommy Hearns. Doesnt mean it increases my boxing knowledge. The 1st GGG/Canelo fight was so obviously a fix that you need to kick yourself up the ass
My man ive been watching boxing since before you were in diapers. And Ive never been 'hooking for Canelo' I would love to see that boy get stretched out! And according to all GGG fans, that's exactly what was supposed to happen....i even rooted for GG in both those fights, same as I was rooting for Kovalev in this last one. So where was the big bad triple G when the moment mattered? He didn't show up. I will concede the fight was very close, and I will even concede a decision for GG would not have been the worst decision in the world.... But anyone claiming robbery needs to check theyselves. It was a close fight and went to the of the Challenger. Get over it. GGG had every advantage at that weight, and if he were half the fighter all the sicifants made him out to be he should have handled Canelo with ease
Unlikely now that he has stolen Oscar's favourite vibrating wooden spoon and gas fallen out with him. There goes the favours.....
Really? You are clearly talking about the 2nd fight, which I have said I agree could have gone either way. The first fight however was a clear GGG win by anyone who even remotely understands the sport of boxing. I diapers hey? I am 64 years old and watched the sugar ray/hagler fight in person . I have watched boxing for 43 years and been all over the world (Not just the west coast of America) My opinion counts just as much as yours does. Canelo is making a joke of himself with these fights lately
If you really been watching boxing that long then why in the world do you care so much about a fighters 'drawing power'? That is the ultimate millennial topic of conversation
Canelo in my opinion is not a massive draw outright like Floyd was or Joshua is in the UK. Few are. What I mean by this is Canelo will only generate massive numbers with the right dance partner. One thing that will always hold Canelo back in America is that he's not American or fluent in English.
Because PPV and internet isnt true drawing power , Bums in seats is real drawing power and cant do that in Vegas
Well I have always been the biggest advocate that if you are the Mexican champion or the Russian.champion you should try more often to defend your title in Mexico or Russia. I'm all for having fights in Vegas, but it kinda takes the 'world' aspect out of the world title
Bad promotion. DAZN thought that Canelo would sell by itself, Canelo thought that DAZN would promote him (well) or he just didn't care much (he gets paid anyway).
