I think Joshua just needs to be boring and do little. Ruiz will lose in such a fight.

I understand your point and I agree, I just think you might be overrating Joshua's iq a little. He aint getting through 12 and doing little, Ruiz will chase him and make him his *****, unless he can hurt Ruiz and get him out of there hes ****ed ! When Joshua sticks to boxing he looks amateurish also to me, when he thinks !

But Joshua can punch. He doesn't have to run.

It's more like I'm underestimating Ruiz (well, that's possible). He's quite scary when he's in a pressure mode, calm and relentless with his fast hands and combinations. He was like that in the first round against AJ. But I just don't believe that a guy so "not very disciplined" as Ruiz is able to continue like that for many many rounds. In the second round he already somewhat slowed down. And in the third AJ became more active and knocked Ruiz down. And then AJ underestimated Ruiz' chin and tried to finish him. Which happened to be a big mistake — he got countered with a temple shot and wasn't able to completely recover.
In the rematch AJ can just fight similarly, just more conservatively without trying to finish Ruiz early.

Right or wrong, Roach stated what I felt: losing too much weight may impact him negatively. Difference is he backed it up by stating Ruiz did go all out to lose weight once and wasn't as effective.

Roach also states what I heard from Manny Steward listening to him speak at a clinic, he derided muscular guys. Said after 4-6 rounds they find themselves pushing out the jab, throwing arm punches is the result of carrying too much muscle.

Good for AJ to lose weight, not so good for Ruiz.

When ever Joshua has been hurt in the past, say against Whyte, he had no power in his shots and his legs weren't under him for a good while, I think he really has done well hiding hes chinny or susceptible to head shots, his recovery is bad when stung

If being 10lbs less obese is going to hurt Ruiz's performance, it just goes to prove that blubber is indeed the source of The Blob's powers. The truth is, Ruiz might be just as fat if not fatter come rematch time. It's only November. He's not like other fighters who lose weight training, he grows his magic blubber. He might put on 10lbs alone in the rest week before fight night, particularly if he sniffs out the lamb kebabs in Arabia.

I don't think that people are claiming that Ruiz would be better if he was fat. I think it's got more to do with a rapid weight loss and the presumptive loss of useful substance, like strength, energy and stamina.
A long term weight loss would be beneficial for him but not a rapid one between fights.
