yeah triple ggg gave him a boxing lesson and a savage beating twas beautiful. He has no chance of beating gingernuts under any circumstances imo. I don't like being harsh on fighters but the unprofessionalism, failed drug tests, acts of cruelty against innocent bystanders, and general cantiness displayed by him are unforgivable.
Knew full well the minute this fight was announced he would throw another stinker performance. If hes not motivated hes a waste of time, needs back to back big fights.
I’m the one seeing things which aren’t there? You’ve just made up a stoppage out of thin air! My issue with Saunders (aside from him being the sort of person the world really is better off without) is that he’s a supposed genius knocking on the door of beating the most elite fighters in the sport who routinely struggles against middling or worse opposition. Then his fanbase come out with an inevitable excuse and cling to the Lemieux performance as though the exception is the rule. Maybe the reason why Saunders gets narrow decision wins against Akavov, Eubank, Ryder, Lee and needed a late stoppage to beat his latest opponent is because, shock horror, he’s not actually that good.
Alvarez absolutely batters him if it ever happens. I used to think BJS was his worst nightmare in terms of styles but not anymore, does Alvarez actually want the WBO strap though and does he really want to waste his time with this kind of fight, especially given BJS history of pulling out of fights and generally just f**king about. This is the big buck end of boxing we're talking about, it's not Snatch or any other fantasy that BJS lives in.
Never stopped Andy Lee. It was a very very close fight without the knockdowns but I still rate the win to be fair, Lee was a good fighter.
Yea, my apologies. For some reason I recalled a knockdown as a stoppage. Memory never been my best attribute but I do remember being impressed with Billy that night! The fight was no given.
People need to calm down writing people off BJS who is fit motivated and focused is world class. Callum Smith got wrote off when he struggled against that kick boxer. Going to America only 5 days before was always going to create issues with tiredness.
This isn’t an argument for or against either fighter but if you can’t understand the difference between travelling to LA and Europe then you can’t be very well travelled. Jet lag sucks.
You can account for jet lag you cant account for a natural phenomenon And he as the money to fly privately not leaving the visa shyte till the last min eh
Blaming visa issues doesn't cut it. How long has he had to get that sorted out? If it's a valid reason then it's incompetence from himself or his team - and if it's not the real reason then it's a poor excuse.
