As above , canelo is a far better boxer / fighter than Smith.
It would be great if for once canelo would go into a fair & even contest,
    Canelo stoppage.

People crying about judges need to get a hobby while I agree it's crazy that it is always 1 bad card people leave out that overall the correct decision was reach each time outside of the Mayweather Majority decision loss that should have been a 9-3/8-4 UD loss for Canelo but outside of that the actual result was the correct one just because your favorite fighters haven't been good enough to legit beat Canelo doesn't mean he's getting gifts.

This is a good reminder that Canelo's one punch finish of a famously tough Liam Smith was suspicious at the time, and after Canelo got busted for roids Liam did comment that he was disappointed thinking he may well have fought a roided fighter that night. He almost certainly did!

Maybe, but I honestly don’t think Canelo has gotten any gift decisions his entire career. The Lara fight I thought he won and the first GGG fight i thought was a draw. Maybe the 2nd GGG fight was a gift but i never got around to scoring it.

The only way this fight happens is if Smith agrees to a 162 pound catchweight with a strict rehydration clause. Canelo will be allowed to weight whatever he likes on fight day of course. Canelo’s fans will celebrate the disputed decision and say, if smith didn’t like the terms, he shouldn’t have taken the fight.

Actually, the fight will probably never happen. Look for Canelo to drag Andre Ward out of retirement and continue his path to “greatness”. I know Ward said he’s not coming back but money talks and I would easily see that fight happening. Smith or Beterbiev...not so much. Too prime for Ginger.

Its difficult to bet against Canelo since if they chose an opponent it means they know they will win. Even if something would go wrong like vs GGG the judges will give clen boy a decision victory.

No gifts? You just named two, both GGG fights. I though the first one was a clear GGG win and the second was a draw. Either way, ancient history. Canelo was getting outboxed against Kov before the KO and was up on the cards. It’s obvious, the only way he’s going to lose future fights is by KO and he’s too smart and too good to allow that to happen. I’m sure all of the roid fueled muscle he’s packed on doesn’t hurt his performance. I don’t see anyone beating him anytime all. GGG is shot and so slow. His chin might help him see the final bell but Canelo could probably beat him legitimately this time around if they fight.

Yes, I'm sure facing Ward would be considered "reaching for greatness" or some other meaningless platitude.

Logically speaking, Canelo should not need a rehydration clause on a fighter naturally smaller than his previous opponent who was the 175lbs Kovalev.

Then again, this is Clenelo and Golden Fix Promotions we are talking about and their BS quest for "greatness".

And it’s way more likely than Canelo facing a top SMW or LH without any hidden advantages. He’s not going to give anyone a fair fight in the foreseeable future. All fights will be in Vegas unless they are the beefy smith variety and all bigger guys will have hydration limits. Of course smaller guys will have to fight a massive Canelo with no restrictions. How can anyone support such a fighter? I’ll be rooting for Ward for the first time ever. Ward will not beat this version of Canelo unfortunately. The deck will be stacked in ginger’s favor.

Like I said, Smith doesn´t move that head at all. And his body is wide open to counter hooks.
Kovalev, Jacobs and Golovkin know how to use angles in regards to footwork. Smith really doesn´t seem to know how. He moves in straight lines.
Alvarez will force Smith to fight off of the back foot, take away his jab and land heavy counters all night.

which says a lot about the originality and creativity of the average poster. you could rubber stamp the same thought 5000 times, which is what happens here daily, and you still have posters feeling clever posting the 5001st version of the same post.
