I’ve always said the rematch is 50/50 up until now, I’m leaning more to Joshua slightly now. I just think Joshua can do quite a bit better than the previous fight. I could definitely be wrong though, I expect Ruiz to perform even better this time too. He’ll have more confidence, and be more determined to prove the first win was not a fluke. I’m quite happy for either of them to win though, just want to see a good fight. Respect to both of them win, or lose. They are both giving fans what they want.
I am AJ will box smart this time we all know what happened in the first fight but let’s not forget the Ruiz was a last minute replacement for miller, wouldn’t surprise me if AJ and his team didn’t really do there homework on Ruiz I think it’ll be a bit boring to be honest but he’ll win on points
How? He tried doing this in the first fight, Ruiz walked him down. Plus, Ruiz isn’t afraid of AJ’s power to keep him at bay and both are going to be lighter.
He tried to keep him at bay AFTER Ruiz already wobbled him with that shot to the temple that AJ never recovered from. And Ruiz caught him only because AJ felt pressured by Wilder to finish Ruiz in a spectacular fashion. He will play it safe from round one this time.
I think we see a fairly methodical beatdown here with Joshua too nervous to go in for the kill unless Fat Andy is completely out on his feet. I don't think Ruiz was great last time out, I think Joshua was really really poor.
AJ seem's to be taking the rematch much more seriously than Ruiz. From his physique to his lack of social media presence, AJ is focused. I still think Ruiz is a bad style for him due to being the more natural fighter of the two though.
I'm happy it's right around the corner. It should be very interesting. Saudi Arabia adds another angle
