Good analysis by the OP. One thing i have to pick up on though is Ortiz being described as a "young old guy".

Certainly now Ortiz is an old old old guy

I can't wait for epic championship fights like Charr's next fight, and Pulev vs Booker. Awesomesauce! Wilder vs Ortiz 2 is an epic fight that simply will go down as one of the biggest fights of all time. This era sucks schlongs. Please somebody save us. Usyk, Dubois, Hrgovic, where are you?

Or how can anybody miss another epic showdown between the slick 6 foot 9 master boxer Fury and #150 ranked TBA, which will end up in a controversial UD.

After Pulev is through with his big challenge Booker, maybe Fury could take him for a spin.

Bum Squad has fought 3 world class fighters and only beaten 2 world champions in 42 fights and one of those world champions had been shot to smithereens for aeons and he should be 2-1 against the world class fighters he's fought despite the fact that one of them was a 40% inactive drug-ravaged suicidal muscle atrophied shell of themselves and hadn't fought anyone with a pulse in 3 years, one of the others is a 240lb giant penguin who was garbage even when in their prime and healthy, and the last one is the last remaining living relic from the Stone Age.

AJ was on a OAP tour before getting knocked out by a Oliver Hardy lookalike who'd only stopped 4 of his last 10 opponents and is morbidly obese.

And Fury left his prime behind in Dusseldorf 4 years ago after deciding to embark on a 3 year drink, drugs, junk food and manic depression bender and this is despite him only being 31 years of age. And he's only fought a handful of world class fighters. Granted he beat Wlad and Bum Squad in their backyards, the later of whom when he was an absolute shell of himself, and he also passed his step up to CW Level over on enemy territory as well.

That's the cream of the crop.

Like what i've been saying for years on this site, boxing needs that generational heavyweight from the USA which is basically an anomaly. Population of almost 330,000,000 and there isn't even one in sight? Dempsey, Foreman and Tyson were special yes but my gosh how is there not another one by now? And no he's not currently in the NFL and NBA.

It doesn’t help that Bum Squad and Fury are fighting no hopers. If those guys get back on track and fight each other and if Usyk continues to progress, HW boxing could be better than it’s been in a while. The Wlad era was boring and lacked depth. Or sucks when the top guy has such a boring style. At least all of the top guys today are relatively exciting to watch. Several are not super skilled but they throw big shots and anything is possible.

I’m not looking for perfection, just exciting matches. Fans should not support bum fights. That goes for this division and all others. Fury disappoints me because he lost all momentum built after the great showing against Wilder. He’s back in shape and needs to step up.

AJ - Ruiz should be a good one. Not historically great but I expect a much better performance by AJ and expect the fight to be competitive. If HW boxing is going to be relevant, this is the time. History is not on my side but I’m an optimist at heart.

The best US HW is unquestionably CW Level Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter and we've been telling you all that for a while now but you just wouldn't listen. Just like we've been telling you all that CW Level>>>>>>>>>>HW Level :deal:
