With Wilder having 10 less fights, and still his opponents rack up 226 losses, I'm not sure that's a great argument. Sure, he's lighter, but so is Floyd. So he should rather aim for Marciano's record then. Not counting the draw, of course.
Floyd has no record, I know many fighters have won more fights without a loss. How is Floyd being given some imaginary achievement others have beat long before him?
Beyoncé LaKiesha Wilder will break the record for most trips to the canvas in 9 days when he takes on the 59 1/2 year old Grandpa Kong!
Actually the record for undefeated champion is held by Mayweather (retired), so its a sealed record. Meanyothin is still active and at a very high risk of losing his record because of a very big fight awaiting him in the near future. Exceeding 50-0 while active has been reached by JCC: 87-0-0 facing Pernell Whitaker 89-0-1 facing Frankie Randall At 51-0 Deontay Wilder will be at 20+ consecutive title defenses, that alone is impressive, a few title defenses away from breaking the GOAT title defense record held by Joe Louis, critics say it was vs very weak opposition aka Joe Louis Bum of the month, but a record is a record.
Yeah? Well, I want to eat Natalie Dormer's ass. Let's circle back and compare notes in a few years, eh, Deontay?
Julio C. Chavez Sr. made the world record 87-0 before he got the first loss. So, it's no use for Wilder to beat Floyd's record.
Nope, he definitely can't. The 87-0 was even before his first draw, which he already had after 40-0. I believe Chavez' first loss was after 89-0-1. Fights in a row without a loss stands at 103 I believe, so that's completely untouchable nowadays. All the major records are out of his reach, but he can still act like he can break them, and he will.
