Norris v Mugabi Should It Have Been Stopped After The 1st KD?

    Do you think the referee should have stopped this bout when Mugabi arose after the 1st knock down?

    I remember this one well. Hindsight says it should have been stopped, but I guess the ref gave him the benefit of doubt and thought he may recover and do better later on. He was never the same after the Hagler loss in my opinion.

    I agree about hindsight. Had they stopped it then they would complain it was stopped too soon. And it was the first round and a title fight. The never the same thing? I am not sure. That was only one fight. I know it affected him, but other fighters have had many losses like Hearns and he still came back and won titles.

    Mugabi showed that he knew what to do after he was dropped.. should not have been stopped after the 1st knockdown.... if he had gone down immediately after he got up I would say it was a bad call to not stop the fight...
