Agh I knew it'd happen. Stopped on a closed eye. Very close fight and tough as hell for both involved. What a scrap while it lasted.

No wonder i stopped watching Aus boxing years back, doctors paid off to look for a stoppage every round when the other guy was fighting back and landing.

 

Looked like Dhary was in the fight but that eye was shut. Shame really,i thought he could of pulled it off. He was getting to maloney. Very unlucky, Dhary..

 

That's why they stopped it, they seen Dhary had the power to get a KO in the last couple of rounds and threw Maloney a golden rope.. he has **** all chance of winning a real belt, even though as usual the **** sucking commentators making him and his brother are legit champs.

 

I thought Andrew Moloney won well. Apart from the round where he was badly hurt, he controlled things for the most part.

The other guy was always in the fight b/c he punched hard with the right hand & was able to land it.

He wasn't getting on top at the time of the stoppage & was given several rounds after his eye closed to get the win but couldn't.

Congrats to Elton Dharry on a world class performance & a great night's entertainment but the better man on the night won.

 

Dhary could take Maloney best shots. Looked like Maloney couldn't take Dhary power. But at the end of the day that eye was shut close doctor did come into play and rightly so. I mean safety first.

Had the eye injury didn't happened, i reckon Dhary had a real chance of pulling it off in my humble opinion, because in that last round. Maloney was feeling those shots of Dhary specially the body shot it was taking it's toll.

 

Dharry was more than in the fight. He won 3 rounds easily, probably even 4 out of 8 at that point and I reckon one of them was a 10-8. Moloney wasn't controlling him that well, especially when he had his cage rattled, after that he wasn't as dominant and Dharry stepped it up.

 

I've acknowledged Dharry's good performance but I don't agree that he was getting on top at the back end of the fight.

Nor would I agree that he was on even terms at the time of the stoppage, but you're entitled to your opinion.

The better man on the night won in mine.
