I'm old enough to remember two Titans of internet combat named McVey and Mendoza.

You, sirs, are no McVey and Mendoza.

    (apologies to Lloyd Bentsen)

No one can live up to the classic Internet fighting legends. I think Nat Fleischer would rate them highly.

more like a legend vs a journeyman! If you don’t know which is which, I will let you figure it out for yourself!

I loved the show. I still am a Monzon fan. You know, if klompy the ***** hadn't whitewashed Harry Greb of his dirty fighting (which I also love in a fighter) maybe you guys wouldn't like Harry. Remember movies have artistic licence to make certain things up. Do I think Monzon killed her. Yes. Does that affect my admiration for Monzon. Not one bit. It was a crime of passion. Like if someone met an author and accidentally beat the pisqueak to death because of the authors mouth. Would you blame him?

I heard that Monzon is busy searching for the real killer.

Hey Philly...dig my avatar...it's as much a tribute to Philly greats...the historic Philly scene as it is to Giardello himself!

Its funny that because Ive criticized officiating in Argentina in the past or defended the need to include Monzon's murder in a 10 hour docudrama about his life that now Im suddenly being painted as anti-Argentina, and anti-Latino. LOL. Sounds like a couple of butthurt fanboys to me. As for me whitewashing Greb I'll be waiting here for examples... It'll be a long a wait. This entire dispute got started because some moron came on here unprompted bitching and moaning about people criticizing Monzon's murder (which nobody had done on this thread and which, in itself, is a very legitimate criticism) but now you want to stick to boxing... I guess the heat in the kitchen got too hot and now you want to go hang out in the parlor with the other ladies. Good riddence.

I don't speak spanish so I'm not thrilled with the subtitles, but I'm as far as him beating Nino for the title and it is pretty interesting. One thing I didn't know was about his problems with his hands. Made it seem like he could barely punch during the Nino fight but I never saw any signs of that. All in all, not bad though

I'm eleven episodes in and for what it is it's pretty good .. I also noticed Daily Motion has more MOnzon non-fight footage than Youtube although you need to seek spanish to get real value out of it .. two episodes left and want to see how they choose to end it ..
