Marquez ko aside, Pac's chin is pretty phenomenal all things considered. The number of big hitters he's been in with, traded with, took flush shots from and didn't even go down or show much respect to after the shots, his chin is beyond proven. His most recent fight just solidifies that. Keith hit Manny with some flush **** that I just knew would be the beginning of the end and it wasn't. I don't see why anyone should question his chin. He's got a p4p chin
I think he has an average punch resistance (5, 10 being unknockable like Marion Wilson, 8 is you will visit the canvas but will always get up before the 10 counts like prime Arturo Gatti), he visited the canvas multiple times, got KO twice to the head and once to the body.
Thurman had full leverage of some of those haymakers, too. Crazy how hard JMM was hitting that night.
The JMM KTFO6 shouldn't be counted as it was a perfectly timed shot. Even a HW will get dropped by JMM when all your weight is on your front foot whilst springing forward and then you get slammed mid air by a great counter that you didn't see coming. It's the KD from the same fight that makes me unable to give the full 10 points to Pac. (It does, however show how great Pac's recuperative abilities are, as he did not only get up quickly, he returned the favor and KD JMM in the coming rounds too). I'd say 8-9/10.
Certified Iron 9 on a 10 scale. Proven time and time again and in wars against HOF'ers. The early KO's and the Marquez KTFO prevent a perfect 10 but very few get hit enough by enough top opponents to warrant that anyways. Pac is iron.
