Boxing training for a month oh dear LOL seeing Hodges can't really punch I am expecting a scrappy mess that goes the 4 round distance with Hodges getting the decision. Do you know if it is 4 x 3mins or are they following the women's rules like the other footy players doing 2min rounds?
Yeah mate i'm a QLDer but I loved seeing Webcke put on his arse and i;d still favour Furner from my Raiders to clean Hodges up as well. I can't stand the Broncos but I always thought there former back-rower Peter Ryan might have gone alright and won few fights but like you said haven't seen any footy players with any real ability,Willis Meehan looks like he'll win a few fights but I don't really regard him as a footballer and Gallen is wise steering clear of him
At this stage in his career if he decides to keep going If Mundine can convincingly beat JWP I reckon he should move up and fight Gallen at heavyweight LOL
Bazza would dust off the vintage carton of KB he has had "ageing" in the basement since the 80's and invite the extended family and step family over to watch that one.
FFS. The Undercard for Mundine/JWP is dreadful! I mean the least they could have done was throw Ben Horn on there for entertainment value.
* Brock Jarvis will headline the Zerafa vs Horn rematch Dec. * Understandably Tommy Browne fight cancelled Dec . * Matt Casboult suffered from depression. Sometimes the biggest battle outside the ring. * The Opetia vs Bam Bam stoppage was disappointing in wake of recent boxing tragedies. Referee was Les Fear. Similar stoppage to Zerafa vs Horn. * Across the border up North it seems it's also happening, Steven Spark IBF Youth Champ 140 lbs fight how did the ref let this continue. This content is protected
The Jai Opetaia v Mark Flanagan referee was Les Fear who is a very good referee. I think he should have stopped the fight during the 8th round. I also think the corner should have stopped it during the 8th round. One of the cornerman had a towel ready to throw from mid-way through the round. There's not much point holding the towel & letting the fight continue. You need to throw it, mate. The Kiwi ref who did the Michael Zerafa v Horndog fight did Andrew Moloney's world title fight in Melbourne on Friday night. The Victorian commission must like him. To the ref's credit, he took Elton Dharry to the ringside doctor at the beginning of every round once Dharry's eye closed. The doctor stopped it on the third occasion that he did after giving Dharry a chance to win by knockout by letting it continue twice.
* Boxing is tough business and most pro's can much more decent living in their real jobs. Kane Watt's is a plumber and Bam Bam a carpenter and both will much decisions on the future in coming mths. * Two Canberra prospect's who are progressing well and expect to see them on NBSS 6 June 2020 is Cameroon Arsene Fosso 3 - 0 3 ko. His last two fights have lasted on 68 sec and his size and style similar to Daniel Dubonis. AF is 36 and shared the podium at 2017 World Champ with Joe Goodall and has already called him out. This content is protected * The other is 2 x Aust Jr Champ Joe Cooper who is 2 - 0 2 ko and trained by Jamie Pittman and fights at SWW. This content is protected * Bobby Knuckles likely to return UFC London March next yr against Darren Till.
Saw a clip of Mundine sparring some novice. He didn't look good and I think his punch resistance is gone I wouldn't be surprised if JWP stops him.
Nice work as usual mate, you seem to always have your finger on the pulse and this thread wouldn't be the same without your posts
* The Cowboy funeral will be Mon at Shepparton's Pine Lodge Cemetery. * NBS 6 NSW 5 - Opetia , Jarvis , Goodman , Wilson , Lewis slated to fight. This is May they should be staying more busy ? * Confirmed Hogan vs Charlo Fox Sports 507 Sun Dec 8 1pm AEST. Terrific undercard Eubank Jr vs Korobov and former world champions Merlin Tapales of the Philippines vs Japan Ryoske Iwasa for interim IBF SBW Title. * Gage Ireland vs Brent Rice D for Aust LW Title. Faiga Opelu new Aust HW Champ. * Tayla Harris new Aust 154 lb Champ. How was her opponent licensed to fight for this title is beyond comprehension. Her opponent Jamay Harding had 5 pro fights and lost last 4 and badly stopped at Bellator 207 only 2 weeks ago. This content is protected
All best to Jayde Mitchell to ight... Lookn forward to seeing Hardman also... Anyone seen the heavies who fought last night? Going anywhere or local standardish... Hasn’t been too much going on locally over past few years, seems at the moment alot of descent guys coming thru ATM.... Im not much into social media but been finding local fighters, seems alot with less than 10 fights who look decent (not predicting world champs, but decent at least) Guys like Liam Para/Paro (I never realised HOW highly he is rated) Frost, Hardman, Mahoney, (guy that beat Rice at jr light few fights back) fair few other names also Im keeping a eye on.. Even Tszyu jr’s last few fights, giving exposure to other fighters... For a local match up Mitchell vs Dunn would b ok if it suits both fighters... Good luck to Mitchell tonight..
* Daniel Lewis has taken up the invitation by Bud's Camp and had to the USA to help my prepare for MSG Dec 14. His trainer saw DL in his USA debut last mth. * Jarrod Wallace fighting for a worthy cause. https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/11/22/training-for-boxing-debut-has-wallace-primed-for-2020-campaign/ This content is protected This content is protected
