Journalists never cease to amaze me with their lack of financial acumen. They dont understand the difference between "pay" or "earnings" and actual income after tax. So it is very understandable that if his "earnings" were 300 million that expenses on that were 50 million. Then with that 250 million taxes come to 125 million, as he didnt have access to the best lawyers and accountants. So he actual income from boxing on 300 million of earnings was about 125 million. He admits that he pissed most of it away on hookers and drugs, and on "loans" to people. Also he was scammed by dodgy people promising big returns. Then of course he has been raped financially in 2 divorces. So after all the dust was settled he could be left with a very small fraction.
