My favourite is Adam Booth he's gone a bit under the radar in the past few years and could be seen as limited but I belive he is excellent at teaching his signature style. He reads fights and psychology very well, and knows his fighters. He knew Haye was finished long before we did. Also got the best out of Groves.

Least favourite is Ben Davidson, total clown who believes his own legend. Tunde is a close second.

I like ingle and booth as trainers. Think both teach a style that at least protects their fighters as much as possible in a boxing ring. As in its not the usual head first....punch me till you tired and i wear you down tactics you see so often in a british boxing ring.

Both booth and ingle styles a bit different to the norm....both came from forward thinkers that dont just try to copy whats been done before. Although ingles dad should be credited with it as opposed to dom. Hes carried it on sucesfully tho.

Most hated is probably gallagher. I dont dislike the guy tbh just the style. Its borderline dangerous. Just about being heavier/stronger than the opponent and wearing them down. Their defence is usually being able to take a better beating than the opponent. No doubt hes a good enough coach cause hes had good success....just wouldnt be taking my son over to him to coach unless i wanted him back with a bit of brain damage. In his defence he seems a pretty good strength and conditioning coach....or whoever does it for him....cause his fighters are usually strong and fit for the weight. Just have a problem with the style more than anything.

The problem i have with Gallagher as a trainer is he pretty much uses the same style for all his fighters. Thats just stupid imo

Adam Booth is the guy I'd want my brother or son to have in his corner. Shane Mcguigan also seems an intelligent coach with a lot of integrity.
That Tunde guy is actually a danger to his fighters as far as I'm concerned. Ben Davidson appears to be more of an on-call 24/7 personal assistant to Tyson Fury than an elite level coach, but to listen to him he's the reincarnation of Manny Steward.

Mcguigan for me he's took someone who was perceived to be featherfisted and a bit hot headed as an amateur to the uk's no1 fighter and legit p4p top20.Also quite likeable imo though I know some on here would disagree.

I don't dislike any trainers tbh. None bother me too much.

If I was a professional starting out in the UK I'd like Booth, McGuigan or Ingle as my coach who all seem popular so far in the thread.

Davison is too green for me and Tunde a bit of an ejit. Joe Gallagher probably gets more stick than he deserves.

Booth is my favourite, no rubbish, talks sense and tells it how it is

he’s gotten fussy over the years with who he trains now though

I know a few top professionals who have approached him that he’s said no to

Gallaghers fighters come closest to fulfilling their potential or overachieving, which is a sign of a good trainer.

Booth is the opposite. Hugely overrated trainer, a lot of style over substance.

Big Billy Nelson and Booth improve fighters - for example look at the state of Ricky Burns after he left Nelson

Not a fan of Straight Lines Gallagher
