JOHN WINS, BUT FUTURE MIGHT BE AT LIGHTMIDDLE

    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3465932

Have we now seen a new and improved Duddy? Lightmiddle maybe a smart move, as John has never weighted much above the middleweight limit. It's early days but Burn's seems a great addition to Team Duddy.:happy

Light-middle sounds good, Duddy fighting for the world title in Ireland. Now that would be special.

Man, I hope Mora won't get the chance to fight Pavlik at 160 but instead fights Duddy later this year at 154 - what a great fight that would be! :happy

I have to agree with you there Tom. And it makes sense financially as well. Both boxers would earn a big payday for that battle.:hey:bbb

"It's early days but Burn's seems a great addition to Team Duddy".:happy

Between rounds, Burns was right in front of John, really animated, in a stance miming punches, really agressive and involved. Looked good and refreshing. No disrespect to Harry Keit or Don Turner, but it looked good to see so much energy. Hope it is a really good "fit".

I THINK the cut was under his right eye, not over it but can't be sure.

Its really interesting to see "The King of Ireland" "The Real" Darren "Raging Bull" Corbett back in the ring again. Not sure if ye Irish based lads get Nuts TV (Sky Channel 208), but they show a programme called "Superfights" and its great - loads of British small hall fights from the 80's and 90's as well as Benn, Eubank and Hattons fight - brilliant stuff. So I watched in amazement as they showed a few Darren Corbett fights against Noel Magee and Chris Okoh - it was it fuuckin great entertainment - some character - I wonder if he was disciplined and could shed all the fat what he would have been like - he probably could have got down to middleweight.I never saw any of his fights pre Ray Kane but I is amazing to think that he was 250lb against Dennis Bailey!!!I cant wait to see what he is like in Dublin - I'll take a camera and get a few photosAnyone know where he is training?
