He's like a humanised collection of cliche ridden quotes.

I was thinking same about the bus.

I like AJ too, but he's nearly always a bit off and I can't explain it otherwise. Tyson's Tyson but you kind of know what you are getting and you roll your eyes and go "yeah, fine, Strictly on Ice". Wilder is always Wilder and Andy never changes. But with AJ, I just never know where he is.

I don't think he knows himself anymore. He's the most media trained fighter of all time and his personality has been lost in endless sound bites and good karma quotes.

Yes, he looks lost. I don't know if we have ever seen the real AJ in these promos. Perhaps we do see his real character between the cameras e.g. after the Vlad fight he said that if he had to fight a war in every fight then it's not worth it.

Maybe with the bus thing he is talking about the old days before he had his millions, did a few drug deals got the bus home, and was a real gentleman on the way giving up his seat en route. That’s humble I guess.

Lots of things i don't like about modern boxing fandom and even journalism and pulling apart press day interviews is one of them. I've even seen people talk about his haircut like it means anything whatsoever.

I had a dream about the rematch

In it AJ won, as he marginally outboxed Ruiz for 12 rounds but in the final round Ruiz clipped him and AJ was out on his feet and had to hold on Bruno McCall style.

I hope I’m wrong, but the closer we get the more I see Ruiz winning again.

No result in the rematch will surprise me. I haven't made my prediction yet.

However back in June, AJ was concussed. Possibly before, definitely during and without doubt after the fight was concussed.

The brain doesn't recover quick. He says he has done lots of hard sparring which will be true. It's possible he still ain't functioning properly yet.

What is AJ really thinking behind all the media training?

The man could lay anyone out in a boxing ring, question is what can he take in return?

Nothing will be a shock in this rematch.

I saw AJ on the number 109 bus in Brixton and to be fair to him he did offer his seat to an old dear that got on.
