Povetkin fans nows your chance... Or do the bookies have the fight right?? +185 under dog S.Povetkin, he's been in the underdog role & sadly hasn't ever overcome it in the pro ranks?? ** Has Povetkin ever won a fight as the underdog in the Pros??. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just don't he has.
Povetkin has been looking older and slower every fight. In his prime, he'd mop up Hunter without a fuss. Today, his prime is a heat mirage reflected in the rear view mirror. I'll be cheering for him but he's gonna have to turn the clock back for this one.
I don't see what so impressive about Michael Hunter... he's only been in 1 tough fight, and that was in cruiserweight... and he lost almost every single round... who has he fought? Kuzmin? ehhh... that guy is so mediocre.. and even at that, he only beat Kuzmin by a few rounds.. nothing impressive. Povetkin doesn't have anything to worry about.
He was outboxing usyk until he gassed. Mike doesn’t have any stamina issues now that he doesn’t cut weight. Mike is our last amateur Star with the most international experience. This fight is tailor made for him. Prepared his whole life. Keith hunter is gonna whip shojokon aswell. Mark it down
Interesting. Think hunter will win, why would they put him in with him otherwise, buuuuut, hunter hasn’t really done sh*t yet and Pov could easily chin him. Might be worth a throw away bet.
MyBookie has: Ortiz at: +430 Wilder at: -610 If I bet $100 on Ortiz how much would I win, this is a hypothetical question only!! Just curious... They have... Ruiz at: +195 Joshua at: -235 I'm not a big gambler, actually only gambled once on a boxing match and it was for Ruiz to KO Joshua in the first fight, I just had a feeling...
The odds are wrong even if Hunter wins . Nothing suggests any Hunter win makes him the favorite over a long standing fighter whos only recent loss was to the former main guy at HW who should win on that same night ? Hunter makes fights ugly ,hes often sloppy to since moving to HW ,he has a solid jab is that enough ? Its not the type of fighter that would give Povetkin anymore danger than real tall power punchers. Hunter at 6'2 may make it more suitable climate for Povetkin here ?
Povetkin is 40 and has shown his age for quite a while now. Meanwhile Hunter is on the come up. The odds make perfect sense here. And betting odds are betting odds. They don´t reflect the actual fight as much as the way people bet. There is a reason why according to many bookies, McGregor had a fair shot against Mayweather.
I need to rewatch Hunter. I’m just not seeing it. Povetkin’s past his best, but this is a huge step up for Hunter. Perhaps he takes it on points. I’ve got Povetkin though.
Povetkin is short and uncomfortable to box. Even Joshua had his problems to figure out Povetkin. Seeing that Povetkin got only beat by two Champions (Klitschko and Joshua) I think Hunter is far away from being the favorite. I don't think he has zero chance, but Povetkin is likely to win by KO or even decision (he quite surprised me when going to full 12 rounds chasing Hughie Fury).
Is taking 9 rounds off Sergey Kuzmin that much more impressive than taking 9 off Hughie Fury? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hunter probably ought to be a very slight favorite at best, more realistically it should be about even money. A prime Sasha would demolish him.
