Ryder been robbed against Smith, Fielding & Arnfield. He also had a shout for a decision against BJS. Such an unlucky fighter who deserves better.
BTW, other outlets scored the fight for Ryder with similar scores as the RBR. They must be wrong as well.
Yeah, this is one of those decisions that seems to have been met with universal incredulity. It's not quite Murata-N'dam I bad...but it's not that far off, either.
No chance, they want Canelo or BJS at Anfield for a bag full of PPV cash. Smiths and Hearn faces said it all, they knew Smith got away with one and they are not risking that again.
Saunders rematch perhaps? Ryder being one of the men who'd be up there with him skill wise at the weight class and is also far more dogged and tough in my opinion. A rematch with Smith wouldn't be bad either, so much left to settle there. Both will be tactical wars that'd provide us hardcores visual orgasms.
If the judges gave it 7-5 Smith that would be generous. It was a close fight the first 10 rounds. I gave it to John Ryder 7-5 quite comfortably when the fight was over. The judges scorecards are disgusting. Smith was saved from having an L on his record by this corrupt business. They just want Anfield.

Of course Smith gets a gift he is the marketed fighter in line for a money fight in the future. The scumbags can really make money now. Ryder just doesn't have the same marketing appeal that's why.
I think I should be sorry missing this fight. Last month I've made a thread about John Ryder titled " A fighter you think will lose but keeps winning every time" and I've said "I'll be damned if he (Ryder) pulls off an upset vs Smith." Comments suggest he did that. He's outstanding.
I remember Paulie being really impressed with Ryder's skills when he was doing commentary for Sky for one of his fights. He's a great technician and one of the most underrated and unlucky fighters in the sport. It's sickening how he's never once had the rub of the green in any of his decision losses even though IMO he deserved to win all of them.
That was robbery of the highest caliber. No shame from MatchRoom and their judges. Ryder, in the minds of almost all boxing fans who watched this fight, you are the new champion. Simple as that.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ryder_(boxer) Look at the Ryder's fight record.. Edit: my apologies, Changed already, it said ROBBERY instead of UD, some funny mofo went on and marked it up as ROBBERY, it's all over Twitter LOL
Smith losses against any of the elite at either 168 or 175, I think the Groves fight made him look a lot better than he is.
