Well since Tyson Fury isn't 6'9. He is 6'7.

You don't know **** about boxing.

Ortiz was winning all rounds and even the 7th.

His game plan was 100% fine.

The problem was: He didn't respect Wilder at the end of that round, probably was already in the corner with his thoughts. And BOOOM. Stupid move by Ortiz in the end there. You could clearly see that he was way too relaxed there.

Still...he countered Wilder all night long, was winning 5 or 6 rounds of 6 and winning the 7th aswell. He did better than in the first fight.

Same thing will happen to that puny Usyk. Outbox him for 11 rounds, and then be blasted out be the right hand. What ever happened to grandpa 's Ortiz power anyway? Is Deontay just too durable for his own good. Lol

Of course wilder let him win. You guys are acting as if wilder is just lucky with his right hand time and time again. He is way more skilled then most of you guys are thinking. If he had to he would box normaly with ortiz but why work yourself off to land on your opponent when he is giving you a perfect moment to ko him?

You guys are really believing that wilder is thinking to him self: **** i am losing every round, lets just punch. Boooom yeah man bomb squad!!!!!!

the guy is waiting 20 minutes to pick the perfect shot to ko his opponents.

Bull****. Wilder has some skills, but those skills are not in the boxing department at all because he has no skills than aggressiveness, mental toughness, explosiveness and power. But he is a good example of a boxer who can be really, really successful without any major boxing skillset apart from massive 1 punch power. It's good motivation for the youth to start with boxing even if you're not good at all. His footwork is horrendous, his handspeed is average as 40yo Cuban was faster puncher in there and his jab is atrocious, too - considering his lanky, rangy physique. Wilder is a total bum boxing-wise. Take the power away, and he's a journeyman level fighter at best(!). It is what it is...Wilder HAS the power and the power is real, so he's winning those fights fair and square and i always gave him the props if he did so (okay, in the first Ortiz fight i didn't give him the props because i do think it was some shady **** going on there with the break after R7...but still) and i do it again. Wilder is an animal if it comes to power. I think he ko's Tyson Fury in the rematch if Fury isn't taking the whole **** serious and it doesn't seem he does. And he will definitely KO Joshua.

I can't believe how DUMB Wilder fans are to defend their hero btw. He was losing those rounds on purpose? HAHAHAHAHAHA LMFAO. You guys are terrible. Be straight....it's pathetic how you act. Nobody is losing rounds on purpose, maybe if you're 9-0 ahead and dominating you take it a bit more relaxed in the last few rounds but no boxer on earth is giving rounds away just for fun, maybe if you wanna fix a fight. I see you guys clearly NEVER competed in your whole damn life.

ryder showed the blueprint for taking away a lanky fighters leverages last night.

but even still, you can't avoid getting hit clean the whole fight and wilder has a nuclear bomb

First of i am not a wilder fan it just pises me off to see the absolute ridiculous amount of hate this guy gets claiming that he sucks. I had plenty of amateur fights and of course i never lost rounds on purpose but i not a 6‘7 tall guy with crazy athleticism as wilder. He knows how hard he can punch and therefore he just doesnt really care about winning rounds.

Ortiz fought a great fight. He won every round.

He just started tiring a bit and was not as sharp defensively by round 7 which is why he got clocked.

He should be proud of his performance.

    Power is not athleticism.

it was a perfect strategy, but ortiz lost focus, and circled himself against the ropes, where he proceeded to square up and wilder took advantage.

Ortiz does not have a very good chin. That was no where near Wilders best punch. Wilder may be the hardest one punch power ever. I just can't see where he gets that power from. Hechas toothpick legs and he does not even punch right. I think he will ko Fury early next fight. Fury will get caught at some point.

Agree. Wilder doesn’t give an F about the scorecard so isn’t active in rounds, which means he has violent power through the entire fight. He can be hurt though. Best to go in swinging and try and chin him because if you don’t, you’re getting chinned
