Do you think he packed more power than Lyle?

I reckon lyle the slightly heavier puncher but of Ingo s above him in terms of using his power to actually win the title. Could Ingo have Foreman all over the place? Possible.
Could lyle ko Patterson in 3..? Maybe

Not in my opinion. What is Ingo famous for? Flooring Patterson multiple times and stopping Eddie Machen, both were cruiserweights by todays standards.

Well TBH, the same can be said for most of Liston's opponents and Louis opponents.

Patterson was a cruiserweight with a weak chin yet he got up every time Johansson floored him.

Johansson couldn't knock out Brian London. In fact, London almost KO'd him.

So Johansson had a great right hand but I think his power is over-rated.

Hard to say who hit harder, since either could knock any heavyweight senseless when they landed clean.

Ingo had other tools, a pesky jab and nice quick hook and surprisingly light feet. He reminds me a lot of Coetzee in all regards.

Not sure he hit as hard as Lyle... and not sure it matters all that much because he hit plenty hard.

Liston stopped 25 men 200lbs or over, Johannson 9.

He wouldn't beat Rahman let alone Lewis.

Uh... Nope. Unless he was there for that split second Rahman was when Lewis was against the ropes with his guard asunder... But even then he didn't have Rahman's reach.

Both fighters hit hard in their respective era's. Ron Lyle kayoed Earnie Shavers in round 6, on Sept 13 1975, and had wins over Jimmy Ellis, as well as Oscar Ringo Bonavena. He also floored George Foreman, in their epic match on Jan 24 1976, before being stopped himself. Ingemar Johansson stopped Henry Cooper, in 1956, Eddie Machen, 1958, and Floyd Patterson, in 1959. He did not have the best footwork, but he had a bothersome left jab, and a thunderous right hand, that could put you to sleep, if he connected. He did not have a long career, he retired after the Brian London fight in 1963. I do think that Lyle did have a harder punch, but Ingo's was no joke.

Ingo threw a sneaky right hand. That was the mystery and effectiveness of it. There was nothing sneaky about Lyle's punches and a sneaky punch would have helped him a ton.
