Wilder or Ruiz would knock Usyk clean out.

Usyk not even proven at HW yet, but yet he's going to dominant Wilder and the HW division? Next excuse for him will be, he's not a true HW when Wilder KO's him right?

Wilder may not can box but the man can definitely fight. Usyk don't want that Tuscaloosa Tornado unleashed on azz.

No no no, you guys got it all wrong. Usyk will dominate now that his most dangerous foe in Witherspoon was vanquished in a brutal 7rd seesaw battle.

There could be only one king at heavyweight and unfortunately for Witherspoon he had to face Usyk for that crown.

It is hard to make a statement on this. What if Deontay opened up and was hit and knocked out. He waited and got the punch in.

I dont really think he was ultra cautious against Artur. He was what he is against a tricky southpaw, which is a stalking pot shotter. Against Artur he spent the first rounds stalking him looking to land shots... he just found Arturs movement tricky and didnt have the target he wanted/needed to let his hands go at that stage. I dont watch that and see someone being uktra cautious because hes worried about Arturs offense. Hes simply waiting on targets that dont appear and Szpilkas stance, footwork and movement keep him out of position quite a bit. But hes offensively stalking him.

I could see a similar scenario against Usyk. But thats due to what I said... footwork and ring generalship keeping Wilder out of position and without a clear target.

But that really has nothing to do with the Ortiz fight.

Theres way more parallels to the Szpilka fight than there are with the Ortiz fight, imo.

Fury who is bigger and longer than with better proven hw defense than usyk got dropped 2x. I just dont see anyway he makes it 12 rounds without getting caught flush. Like i said in another thread bellew and briedis both hit him alot. If he gets hit like that against wilder he will leave the ring on a stretcher. Lastly it doesn't matter if he is shutting wilder out it only takes 1 shot from a ko artist like wilder and usyk knows that going on it's alot of mental pressure on a fighter when they know they have to fight a perfect fight to win and their opponent doesn't.

That's true enough but they both have much more in the way of variety than Wilder does in terms of shots.

As for the OP, I don't think Wilder gives a damn about rounds. He relies on the fact he'll likely hit you at some point and that's liable to end the fight. So far (well, Fury fight aside really) it's worked plenty well.

Joke post. GGG and Kova are old. That is the only thing that slowed them down. No one wanted a piece of GGG until he hit 34.

Championship fights are 12 rounds Ortiz barely made it past the halfway point it was a domination, doesn't matter who won the first 6 rounds.

What do you mean he was not impressive??? He outlanded him 139 - 21, Witherspoon landed 3 punches a round, what else did u want Usyk to do? Everyone knows hes not a big puncher and he will rarely ever get KOs at HW

Wilder took 9 rounds to knock Szpilka out. Kownacki stopped him inside 4, Chisora inside 2. Witherspoon was a short notice opponent and a tune up - just getting in the ring and getting some rounds in was all that mattered. Usyk is the lesser puncher here for sure. But that doesn't mean hes incapable of scoring a knockout. Especially later as he goes through the gears. That said I agree that a KO isnt the most likely outcome. a UD is.

I agree. I aggregate the Szpilka, Ortiz and Fury fights in my head when analyzing this one. Usyk will 100% be the better boxer here and has more mental focus than any of the 3 above. Sure Wilder has the ability to end it all with one punch but as we saw against Fury that won't always be enough to bail him out against an elite boxer. a technician will eventually beat this kind of fighter and its happening should this one go down.

Yeah, exactly a short notice opponent who had like a week at most to prepare lmao. And he was fat, old, and irrelevant. The fact that it took Usyk 7 rounds to get him out tells us something. Also why are you bringing up something that happened YEARS ago? Boxing is a what have you done lately for me sport. The likely outcome is Usyk gets knocked the **** out.

Also it's cute how you're bringing up how after Szpilka got BRUTALLY knocked out by Wilder that other opponents did it faster after like it's relevant. Tank absolutely blasted through Pedraza in what 7 rounds, and Loma struggled and couldn't even get him out of there. But that's irrelevant to you right?

Oh and Seth Mitchell got a younger Witherspoon outta there in 3 rounds lmao. Seth Mitchell ffs.
