Somebody refresh my memory, please. What has Warren done in 2019? I recall Dubois/Gorman which was excellent. Apart from that though, I can't remember many good shows of his own. It's been a dissapointing year from Warren. I wouldn't mind, but Hearn's saturday fight night brut shows are there for the taking.
In terms of his biggest names: Frampton: hasn't had a single fight. Saunders: left him for Hearn. Yarde: a nothing fight and then beaten by Kovalev. Dubois: a good year. Got his stoppage streak back and a very strong showing against Gorman. Joyce: Stiverne, Ustinov and Jennings don't seem bad for a guy who's still only 10-0. But when that guy is 34 is that enough? Warrington: hard to top 2018 but not a great year. Beat Galahad in a horrible fight (I thought he won, but quite a few didn't) and a nothing fight. Gorman: points win against Kevin Johnson then beaten by Dubois in July. Nothing since. Probably closer to thirty than twenty stone. Fury: two nothing bum fights in the middle of the night which nobody watched. Catterall: a fight against a guy with seventeen losses and then a fight in Dubai. Nobody knows who he is.
To add, I had a look at Warren's site to look up his 'featured names.' Nicola Adams is still one of them given top-drawer billing despite the fact she retired three weeks ago.
Warren is Fury’s promoter in name only and nothing more at the minute. He’s a Top Rank fighter, on Top Rank cards doing all the promotional stuff, wrestling gigs and sports chat shows in the States that TR are setting up. Warren is just there in a vanity role really.
Albert hall in March Leicester in March Dubois vs Lartey BJS at the Lamex Warrington Galahad Dubois Gorman Sonny Edwards at copper box Dubois Tetteh Warrington vs A Can. he’s got Birmingham and the fight before Christmas to come. Not filling those dates at all with BT and providing very little for the fans.
