Wilder is a Floyd/Ali-level spoiler. His version- play possum whole fight then unleash. Fair play...

Ali was one of the greatest spoilers who graced the sport. Constant leaving jab hand out (like how Klitschko adopted), tying people up, running around.

Floyd again one of the greatest spoilers ever- run from opponent, edge rounds with flashy punches, dirty tactics.

Wilder is a spoiler on these levels. He doesnt engage in a boxing match for multiple rounds, plays possum and unleashes a couple haymakers.

Don't get me wrong- fair play to them all. But do you agree Wilder is a spoiler to these levels?

I don't think what Wilder does is spoiling.

He's not spoiling, he's waiting. He never really ties his opponents up.

A spoiler is a fighter who refuses to engage by fighting a negative style, mostly by running away, constantly grabbing, and fighting dirty. Wilder doesn't do any of that, he's the one who is coming forward and patiently waits for the right moment.

my definition of spoiler is one who wins by means which "spoil" a fight. i.e. negative tactics. I guess my definition may be wrong. But I feel Wilder, by perennially waiting for other person to make the first move, is a grade a spoiler...

Don't really see Wilder as a spoiler.
Fury for instance is much more of a spoiler as Wilder is.

But it's not spoiling if Wilder isn't initiating any negative tactics. Tyson Fury is more of a spoiler fighter if anything else.
Patiently waiting to set up the KO does not count as a spoiler tactic.
