Which does more damage? I mean seeing the Chisora KO, and flooring Parker... the brown KO... the devastation was just more impressive from Whyte's left hook. Both are destructive though, not taking away from Wilder. Wilder is certainly more consistent with it. I'm totally fine being in the minority opinion, even if it's just me. When Wilder KOd tough chinned Breazeale, he was down for a little over 10 seconds When Whyte KOd granite chinned Chisora, he was down for well over 1 minute.
Hard to say, Whyte has landed his left on higher quality chins than Wilder has his right! What I do know is that Whytes chin is much better than Wilders and Whyte is also the better boxer. So I’d wager Whyte will land his left before Wilder gets his right home and if/when that happens it’ll be thank you and goodnight Deontay
I somewhat agree actually, but I feel Wilder has got a serious chin on him. I'm thorughly impressed with his ability to take punishment and not go down for a man of his small size. Its crazy... 215 at 6'7 taking big shots.
Whyte has the best left hand in heavyweight boxing right now. Wilder has the best right hand in heavyweight boxing right now. If you're asking who punches harder, has to be Wilder. Whyte left hand is excellent though, but records suggests Whyte left hand doesn't finish fighters Dave Allen went the distance with Whyte, yet Allen was pulled out against Price and badly damaged. Helenius went the distance with Whyte, Helenius isn't exactly granite jawed. Chisora went 22-23 rounds with Whyte until that incredible left hand. Rivas went the distance, although I actually rate Rivas so that isn't a dig. Wilder on the other hand (literally) finishes fights regularly, maybe a lower level of opponent but they are finished.
If I can remember correctly, Whyte had many issues with his left shoulder and sorted it out around the time he fought Helenius, even Whyte himself said he didnt feel 100% comfortable with his left hook for a large part of his career
Comparing different punches man.. Whyte clearly has the better hook and wilder right hand. Welcome back, but every post about dillian, please stop, maaaan... Peace.
To be fair yeah, true, actually you have a very good point, he did have shoulder problems but yes he had surgery but that was right after the AJ fight, the fights I mention were all after AJ and the surgery.
@N17 if i remember correctly Whyte didnt land a Left hook on Rivas because Rivas kept making him miss.
Wilder has a lead left hook , Whyte has a counter left hook. Both are good hooks but Wilder's is probably more dangerous. I can't see Whtye coming remotely close to leveling out Fury with the left hook.
Wilder every day of the week and it honestly shouldn’t be a thread topic. @Aydamn i see Whyte is fighting again on AJ’s undercard, has the B sample been shown yet or at least pursued?
Don't think it was ever requested. Suspect behind closed doors a backdated ban was agreed with UKAD probably for 6 months, hence why he can fight out there. Probably be back in the UK in Feb and Matchroom won't mention it at all. Ironic he's sharing a card with Molina given he was boxing still whilst serving a UKAD ban. That's my thoughts anyway. Likely we will never hear the truth from UKAD.
Whyte’s left hook vs Wilder’s left hook would be an accurate comparison. Whyte’s left hook with Wilder’s right hand? No contest whatsoever. Besides, I don’t think Whyte’s left hook will be as good as It was when he fought Browne, Parker&Chisora 2 now that he’s busted. It’ll probably go back to being “just above average” like It was when he fought Helenius, Dave Allen&Chisora 1.
