Tua via Referee Stoppage 8th TKO Sorry for the late reply had to look into tua more before posting. I think it would a good fight . It would be a back and forth fight with rocky landing good hits on tua and gaining momentum due to his volume punching, his right hand Would land clean on tua making his head snap back a bit appearing to be good hits making loud snapping noises crowd liking the war. However tua would land his bombs on marciano ..dropping him in the second round but rocky is rocky. Has a lot of heart probably just maybe the biggest heart in boxing has ever had . marciano would get up do the 8 count and continue fighting tua toe to toe ..3rd round marciano comes out blazing going toe to toe. Marciano having some success against tua landing more shots but tua landing the bigger shots and doing more damage to marciano. 4th round tua drops rocky again . And finishes strong on this round . 5th round tua comes out throwing bombs as well as marciano 6 -7. Rounds. Back and forth action Round 8. Tua drops marciano. With a left hook to the body. Rocky barley makes the 8 count . tua jumps in for the finish trying to finish off rocky throwing bombs on the smaller but big hearted rocky . rocky trying to hold on but the referee has seen enough jumps in and stops the fight. And bloody rocky goes over and hugs and kisses tua embracing their war together Referee Stoppage 8th round Rockies heart is what would keep him in this fight . Rocky would continue all 12 rounds as he dosent give up. But the referee stops it to protect rocky from getting more damage. Saving the fighter from himself Now a days they protect fighters from themselves than they did back then . Rockies heart wants to continue but the ref won't let him
Tua is better skilled and quicker and hit harder. I don't think Rocky has the chin to weather this storm.
Tua KO around 7-8. Tua will take everything Marciano throws at him, and Marciano will get up after a few knockdowns. One more big left hook and its over.
Tua basically lost every time that he stepped up in competition. He is not the wrecking machine that some make him out to be, and I would not install him as favorite here.
If Tua's era was dominated by elders and dwarves (like some middle earth scenario) he would still be champ.
No, of course you wouldn't! I mean, if you think he would lose to Corbett (LOL), it would be hard to pick him over Marciano.
Good God all mighty will this stop? Stop trying to compare some 180 pound guy to a 220 pound guy. David Tua would knock out 180 pound club fighting Rocky Marciano worse than Tua knocked out John Ruiz. I want somebody to make a thread about could a 160 pound guy like GGG could beat Marciano. I bet you the same biased Marciano fans will say Marciano is way to big for GGG. But those same people will say a 220 pound guy isn't too big for Marciano because size doesn't matter.
Tua was way too slow and one dimensional to beat the Rock. Tua would be hitting air all night and would take a beating.
I think we should ban anyone who thinks 160 pounders are too small for rocky but 220+ guys are no big deal for rocky. Not because there's a right or wrong answer, but because it's hypocritical. Be consistent.
If some fine Italian gentlemen put a gun to my face, twisted my arm, had my head in a vice and asked politely, I might be persuaded to pick Marciano.
Sometimes you can’t ignore size. Who’s the greater fighter here? Well it’s Marciano. Rocky though would be giving away nearly 3 stone to a granite chinned power puncher, who proved he could maintain his output over the stretch. I think Tua’s overrated on here, but especially with his go forward style I simply can’t see Rocky overcoming the size disparity.
