Does anyone think Parker could absorb Wilder's right hands like the one that Smashed Ortiz?? This fight will likely never happen but I'm sure there's some Kiwi's on here that think Parker would defeat Wilder like they thought he would defeat Joshua and Whyte... If there's no more Spider Bites and the Wilder vs Fury rematch falls through, Parker could petition for a shot at Wilder and by-pass Chisora if he wanted to! Who wins this one? I see Parker surviving about as long as Ortiz, sooner or later he gets nailed but it would be interesting while it lasted giving the war he had with Whyte... To defeat Wilder you have to hit hard and be able to exchange with him, Duhapuss exchanged with Wilder but Duhapuss is not a big puncher!
Parker was passive as hell against Joshua and Whyte. Presumably he’d be even more passive against the hardest puncher in boxing. To beat Wilder you need to throw punches and hurt him. That’s what Fury did, especially in round 12. You have to deter Wilder from throwing bombs. Parker is a good boxer and I like him but I see him getting Breazeale’d against Wilder with creepy Kevin Barry just gormlessly grinning in the corner.
I liked it when he said fury deterred wilder from throwing the right hand by throwing punches and hurting him.
Wrong match for Wilder and a big reason it has not happened yet. Bout should have transpired years ago for both in a unification bout. But Parker is no risk taker and will not stand outside waiting to get hit. dreary bout with about the same connect % we just saw with that Ortiz rematch. So not the best choice for highlight reel results the Wilder camp is seeking.
