I think Sky should get their chequebook out and get Mike Costello for commentary. Have Paulie Malinaggi doing co-comms for major events, Paul Smith for the others and Adam Booth as an analyst, coming in to make key observations for what he is seeing.

Get rid of adverts between rounds on ppv.

 

That would be perfect. People say turn.it down but I dont like watching sport without any sounds, it's weird.

 

Stop being so insanely bias is favour of the hyped prospect and hyped champion.

Have some integrity in your commentary of the fights and your analysis.

This starts with the managers and directors of sky sports allowing the commentators to tell it how it is. Encouraging them to be honest and to be critical when it’s needed.

Some of the commentators they have probably have a completely different view off camera. But feel like they must be glorified cheerleaders in order to please their bosses.

I've said it before; sky don't want good analysis. Sky want entertaining analysis. They want company men who'll read the script. They want guys who'll get excited and hype a home fighter. They want guys who'll hype a no hope opponent to drum up excitement for a mismatch.

Sky boxing isn't really about the boxing. It's about the 'event', all of which they would make PPV if they could.

 

It's more than that. They need to get rid of everyone.

I'm curious, do people prefer the team now or prefer when we had Jim Watt and Glenn Mccory?

Jim got called out (rightly so) every week on here, with popular phrases such as "Teak-tough" and "arrrrrrrum punches"

Personally loved jim watt, would have him back in a heartbeat. Out the current crew I like Johny nelson. The rest I would bin. Not a fan of oversized glasses wool house. I like it when groves is on, even haye . Mallinagi is ok.

 

I know this sounds weird but I feel like I need an American commentator when watching a big fight so having Paulie around more would help, I really like his analysis and passion, that accent is just suited to ringside too, I think growing up watching the big fights in America has made me feel the need for an American commentator/pundit.

 

Weirdly I quite like David Haye when he is on comms.

Paulie is the best of the bunch though, Froch is ****ing terrible.

Oh for a world where Sky give Eubank snr the mic for a fight.
