I’ve always thought he’s a bit odd. He occasionally reveals his true personality (the ‘superior race’ DMs a couple of years ago).
He’s got a lot more pressure on him now after reading that article on world boxing news about PPV’s flopping over here with every other fighter bar him. It will be interesting how he reacts when Ruiz puts the pressure on and chins him. You just don’t know how a fighter is gonna react after such a shocking defeat. I don’t think he should have took the rematch, but he has, and that takes some balls to be fair. He’s putting it all on the line when he could have avoided it. I just hope that it’s his decision and he’s not been pushed into it.
AJ doesn't even pay his team, apparently. So the paying sparring partners peanuts is typical. Wants to earn a billion but won't pay out? Speculate to accumulate! I saw an interview with him and he gave it "me and my journey" nonsense. He's clearly a very tight and mean man. I bet he hasn't looked after a single friend of his properly (house, money in the bank etc).
What kind of man doesn't pay sparring partners, what a tight ****. AJ is that tight he wouldn't give you a snot out of his nose.
Absolutely, the rematch is a bad idea. He didn't just lose the first fight, it was a serious beatdown. If he took a few warm up fights first to see if he has recovered then he'd know if he can take a punch again because he will definitely be getting heavy shots land on him from Ruiz Jr. In that preview show they had round the table David Haye mentioned that Joshua wasn't allowing full sparring in this camp, the rest of the table looked at him as if to say 'you're not supposed to say that' and the subject was changed quickly.
I don't think he should've taken the rematch either but yeah fair play to him.the fact that they would be handing the heavyweight division to haymon/pbc on a plate would surely be reason to take the rematch no matter what.
The only unscripted words of truth I spotted from the chinny robot during that car crash piece of telly was when Nelson said “you’re the boss though right, ultimately the buck stops with you?” To which big Josh retorted with a firm “NO. I’m one of the bosses” Guy would clearly not be rematching the tubby Mexican if he was in charge of his own destiny. This is going to be total capitulation from AJ in a couple of weeks time. Pure beatdown coming.
This fella has a couple of Masters degrees, plus a Chartered. It's an interesting analysis on the body language from The Gloves Are Off. This content is protected
Not watched the video you posted but see when they zoom into one of the fighter's faces for a couple of seconds? The majority of times they are actually showing their expression from a different point of the interview. It's a way to make it look more tense than it actually is. That's basic programming.
Nonsense. He mentioned in an interview about how it would cost him a bomb to look after his team, and stated that if they want to be around then it should because they WANT to, not because they are after the money. Imagine if he paid his team £500 p/w each. Say 30 people, that's £15k a week! So less of the bollocks, pal.
Just seen a pic AJ released. 100% looks a lot trimmer. I imagine the cardio training has been relentless and I've no doubt his fitness will be good while this fight lasts. Punch resistance is his biggest concern. The weigh in will be interesting.
