I love these British Title Fights and theres a potential all action, British Super Feather Weight Title Fight tomorrow night,between Sam Bowen (holder) & Ant Cacace (challenger). The SFW division has seen some historic fights and fighters down the years. Fights like AAA vs Gomez or Mitchell vs Johanneson spring to mind within the past decade or so. Does the Bowen Vs Cacace bout have the potential to live up to the likes of Gomez, AAA, Mitchell, Burns ? Bowen is massive at the weight and has some good momentum now, which took a bit of time to come, as he struggled to get challengers for the vacant belt, which was eventually taken up, by maxi hughes who Bowen managed to stop in the 8th rd to claim the belt. He then met his first defence against jordy mcCory, stoppjng him in the 9th rd. Challenger Ant Cacace was just a big a prospect as Bowen around 2016. In 2017 Cacace challenged the then title holder Matin J Ward, and failed to take the belt from the champion. Since then Ant has been quite inactive, fighting only once in the past couple of years. The momentum is with Bowen but Ant is also big at the weight and has a tricky style. If he can put a dent in Bowen early on maybe he can make Bowen think twice about coming forward so confidently. Who u picking and why?
I like Bowen, I reckon he’ll get the stoppage here. Bit raw still but got that power. Another couple of wins could get him a mandatory with the WBO. Good luck to him.
