You're wrong on all accounts except for Foreman, Foreman definitely changed. Norton remained Ali's boon and Frazier and Norton were actually irreversibly damaged by Foreman, not Ali. Norton beat Ali every time, just didn't have the judges give it his way. Ali was eventually destroyed by all of his fights with them too. It was a roundabout, Ali only destroyed Foreman notably. You're rewriting history and Ali was far from the perfect fighter. If you don't throw body shots because of a high filuting notion that they don't work you definitely aren't.
Ali Was 31 at the time of the first two fights for Christ's sake he had loads left in the tank at that point he was just outboxed admit it.
Ali is remembered at the GOAT heavyweight, well, because he was. He proved it in the ring time and time again. As far as not winning "6 titles" like Oscar, in case you haven't noticed there is nowhere to go up from heavyweight. His wins against Liston and Foreman are better than any wins the guys you had listed combined. I can see some people thinking he may be a tad overrated (I don't agree) but the nonsense you are spewing is a joke. Log off.
Completely understand what you’re getting at but Andy Ruiz would pummel Ali into next year if he was still around.
I tend to agree somewhat with the OP on Ali being overrated. People tend to state that he's #1 HW without question, whereas it's actually quite debatable. If he had a couple of more losses to Norton, a KO loss to Cooper, he's not nearly got the same shine. I tend to feel that you could argue the top 3 HW boxers as being somewhat interchangeable depending on the criteria you're looking at. I see Louis, Ali and Lewis as the top tier, and even they are not too far from the next two (in my opinion) in the form of Holmes and Wladimir. Ali as #1? Sure. But he's not miles away from the rest and could arguably quite easily be lower.
Age doesn’t make someone’s prime, the amount of fights and training camps make a difference to how a fighter performs, if you think that someone who as been fighting for over 13 years, had nearly four years out of the ring had 43 fights who relies on speed and reflexes is in his prime then you are stupid. Eg you can have a car that’s 3 year old with 200,000 miles on the clock and another car that’s 10 year old with only 10,000 miles on the clock, which does the sensible man buy? I will help you, the lower mileage car that’s a lot older, Because it performs better because it’s had less hammer , now you understand LoL.
When your dealing with the type of intellect I’m getting on here it makes it easier, if they had half a brain my first post wouldn’t have been questioned it is obvious and makes perfect sense, so it depends on which camp you are in logical making sense thinking or dense. Lol
Answer me sincerely. In your opinion if Frazier didnt fight 3 times with Ali would he have been knocked out in that pitiable way by Foreman? As to Norton he suffered pitiable KOs from various opponents after Ali. The truth is Ali physically and mentally destroyed all of them. Ali is underrated.
LOL @ Tyson being better than Ali, when Tyson got his ass kicked every time he fought someone elite. **** me, this is a terrible thread.
Im no hater. I like Ali alot but people most be realistic comparing todays division with 50 years ago. I think Ali could dance to a few descisions here and there but with his toolbox from the 60's he would be a smaller version of Malik Scott or Hughie Fury.
