Ruiz stoppage in the championship rounds. He’s got his number lads. When Ruiz chins him he’ll panic, and when he chins Ruiz and he’s still standing there he’ll get anxious and gas. He’s passed it off as a lucky punch, he’s not accepted that he was beat comprehensively.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume your posts are due to a lack of knowledge rather than a lack of intelligence. There is a huge scale when it comes to concussions. Some people don’t even know they’ve had one until their brain is examined post mortem. Then at the other end of the scale there have been top fighters that have retired due to post concussion symptoms.
I just can't see that happening, Ruiz was tearing him apart on the inside last time so trying to hold and lean is madness. Ruiz will be delighted if he see's this as the game plan.
To be fair, I had a friend get knocked out in an MMA bout. He lost nearly a month of his life from the concussion. He could remember the end of camp but nothing about the tapering off period, the travelling out to Slovakia, nothing from fight night itself and the week after. In his head, none of that happened and it scared the life out of him.
You're referring to severe concussion, not every one is that bad. You only have to watch a contact sport like rugby or NFL and you'll see a player come off with one more or less every match. If these concussions you speak of were accurate then the said sports would be banned or would not be able to sustain themselves for players having to retire after 'post mortems'
Tbf to Hattonmad, Joshua won the 5th, his concussion might not of been as bad as A.J is trying to project. It is about levels of concussion tho. I have known fighters not remember the fight or the whole day after receiving concussion, just like Heisenberg friend, he must of had severe concussion.
This will be another blowout victory for Ruiz Jr, I can't see any other outcome. Ruiz is only going to be better this time around with a full six months preparation. His style is too much for Joshua to overcome and by far has the psychological edge along with the support from most fans outside of the UK, even in the UK the majority people I have spoke to who know their boxing think or want Ruiz to win again.
Very true there is every chance this goes the same way 2nd time around. It wasn't a lucky shot. AJ just couldn't handle Ruiz, his speed and his pressure and punch variety. The key really is measuring the pace of the fight, maintaining distance and no going looking for the KO. AJ's jab has to be dare I say it Wlad like to give him a chance. IF and its a big if he's able to box Ruiz long for a few rounds at range will a slightly more depleted Ruiz be more susceptible to AJ try to wrap him up inside. All big question. I've voted for an AJ points win - this is his first real test of adversity does he go to another level or does he sink away and huge fights with it - I say it AJ's win with no certainty and wouldn't be surprised if this ends up with Ruiz OK again.
I actually said that there’s a huge variance with concussions. None of us knows how severe the one Joshua suffered was.
