i think this is being overlooked. the guy is more than just his trainer, i think andy was just as happy for him as he was for himself when he won. there is a sense of responsibility there that doesnt exist in every team. there is nothing a man will sacrifice for more than love.

There have been plenty of one hit wonders in heavyweight history. Everything will be against Ruiz as AJ is the big cash cow. Ruiz though has real boxing skills and the power to hurt AJ. If Ruiz wins he will deserve to be the champ. If that happens I'd like to see him take out Wilder and unify.
Nah. Ruiz is a cool guy and has never looked anything but calm and collected. He doesnt look or act like a killer and that may have made Joshua underestimate him in the first fight. Cant see Ruiz being anything but on it in the rematch
Sometimes a fighter can over train for a fight, an example that comes to mind was the Ali vs Sonny Liston rematch, set for Boston, on Nov 16 1964. Ali had to be rushed to the hospital with hernia, which was operated on. The rematch of course took place on May 25 1965, which Ali won in the 1st round, by KO. A J could possibly be over trained, leaving the fight in the gym. But again, only time will tell.
I like Fat Andy but I lost respect for him after he refused to fight AJ on his turf after AJ had already fought him on his. Same goes for Bum Squad after he refused to rematch Fury in the UK after the later had been man enough to fight him over on his manor when he was a mere shell of himself albeit I'd began to sour on the useless dosser long before that. Same goes for LSC who is very personable and likeable but he reneged on his promise to fight Frampton in Belfast after the later fought him on his turf not once but twice. Conversely, whilst I liked AJ at first, he just comes across as really fake with all that media training and I find it really off-putting.
training non-stop for 6 months? sounds like he is gonna be burned out and exhausted for the fight. 6 month training camps are unnecessary. Resting the body and mind is just as important as the actual training. 10-12 week camp is the norm
This is just a massive 50/50 fight. So many different scenarios. Costello and Bunce just interview Joshua and Ruiz in Saudi. Joshua was laughing and joking and they made the reference that he was completely different to the man they interviewed in Sheffield a week earlier. Meanwhile Ruiz was distracted and a noticeably different entourage, making reference to all the "new" friends he got after winning last time.
The style matchup helps Ruiz,but I am going with Joshua stopping him this time like he should have in the first fight.
Well, they even regularly rob Brits in favor of more popular Brits in the UK, can you really blame him?
