Ruiz didn't look/ seem so confident during the head to head at the press conference yesterday. First time I've seen him look intimidated by Joshua, probably realises it's not gonna be the Mr nice guy Joshua he was up against first time around. Joshua has bad intentions this time!!
rewatched AJ vs Whyte, it was a left hook that had AJ hurt but Whyte didn't go for broke to finish him, I bet Wilder would KTFO AJ and Whyte on the same night and he's just some guy from Alabama who got KTFO with headgear on in the Olympics by a guy who's gone nowhere as a pro and KO'd by a bum... as a pro Wilder's padded his record with mostly bums...
Lol you watched the AJ vs Whyte fight.... and you say Whyte didnt go for broke to finish him? Yes he did... He hit him with some nice three piece's, and flush with two right cross across AJ's chin... AJ just recovered well. But that left hook was beautiful by Whyte, it lifted AJ's body clean off the floor in mid air lol nasty. AJ has a chin and a half, and so does Whyte... those guys dropped bombs on each other. AJ hit Whyte with way more firepower than AJ hit Ruiz...
Look at the replay, Ruiz had both feet forward when he was hit, he had nowhere to go but down. When I first saw it I said he's not that hurt, and when he got up he got hit with a much better shot than the one that dropped him but he was in a much better stance to take it.
That's his fault his feet were in bad position...he wouldn't have went down if Joshua didn't hit him.
I just watched again. It's clear Ruiz was landing the more effective jabs and punches. AJ's jab hit nothing, the gloves, or arms of Ruiz. Does beg the question if the judges will be more fair to Ruiz than they were the first time around, because it was essentially a one sided fight yet somehow rounds were going to AJ. Oh I'll agree with that, Joshua actually used some footwork and angle to put him into that position, but the point is, he wasn't that hurt.
