    I went to an early one of his in Oxford, he was fighting a short fat Muslim guy with a leaping left hook that AJ stopped with a body shot.

    before the fight I overheard people saying ‘this kid is supposed to be the next frank bruno’

    my initial thought was he looked extremely robotic and one dimensional but carried a lot of power

    Must be crazy to be a normal bloke who used to fight a bit who went up against a future world champion for nothing.

    Often think of AJ's early pro fights too. A few grand to get KO'D must be a weird feeling.
