Might have had weights under his clothing to fool everyone (he wore a vest whole time)

I thought AJ had something wrong with him when he fought the first time. So I picked him to win this next fight. Ruiz is a good fighter, having been beaten only once in a highly controversial fight against Parker that many thought was a typical hometown decision win for Parker. Ruiz skill wont be lost in spite of his weight gains. So my head says that Ruiz will win once again unless some miracle happens and he gets stopped by AJ.

Ruiz probably realises he isn't getting a decision without knockdowns. So essentially he needs knockdowns to win, and he has come in at a weight to stand and trade.

A lot of talk about Ruiz weight...but he will of been doing plenty of 12 round sparring sessions and will know by now whether he is fit enough or not...Rumours would of come out of the gym if he was struggling with anything...he is definitely heavy but I don’t see it being an issue for Ruiz. The guy is a freak of nature in terms of athletic ability and body shape.

I felt AJ would avenge the loss then changed my mind a few days ago based on a video. Never changed like that, but I can't get out of my head what Holyfield said before AJ fought Ruiz.
Holy didn't have to reveal that Ruiz got the best of him in sparring, the whole camp. But he did. He said usually I can look at a guy and see what he has to offer but with Ruiz he said, that convinced him it was time to retire.
Evander was a born fighter. Ruiz is the same. He was born to bang. AJ may be one of those guys who can excel in sports because he seems to be a born athlete.
An athletes is not a synonym for a fighter. Thats is why I am calling Ruiz for win. Fighter vs Athlete.

The thing is, although he’s heavier
he has less flab, than previous.

Just some fun facts to consider. Joshua beat Wlad at 250, and Povetkin at 245. He was around his optimum weight in championship fights. Could this leaner 240lb bodybuilder, that destroyed Skelton and Sprott at 17 stone do the same to Ruiz? Or will he be served as a snack for this ferocious blob and be gobbled up in 2?

I'm leaning toward s AJ but oh so slightly. Not sure I can get those scenes from last fight outta my mind, Joshua being bounced all over. Would it be best for him to fight Ruiz with caution or try and get him out fast? We don't know how AJ going to be affected by the last fight either. Not a fight we can predict with confidence tbh.

I'm sticking with Ruiz by knockout, not referee stopping it but a clear knockout.

Ruiz has made a mockery of heavyweight boxing and that's a shame. I liked him. He has a chance for a big career so what does he do? Hardly train and come in fat.

Joshua at the very least is in shape and seeks out better competition that the other two bozo's holding belts. I'm going for him.

I also thought he looked more solid. Could be that he has simply gained more muscle than he has lost fat. Hard to tell when he had a shirt on.

This is what he had to say himself:

“I was already the same weight as the last fight this morning,” Ruiz explained. “I had to wait until almost 5 p.m. to get on the scale, so I already had my breakfast, lunch and dinner. I also weighed in with my sombrero and pants on, so that’s why I came in so heavy.

“It was a psychological thing as well.”
