Never suggested Tyson could not take a shot, however if he was put to canvas he either would not or could not beat count of 10.

I watched Tyson in his early pro days in awe so in no way being intentionally unfar about him.

In my opinion Tyson was a front foot fighter, if he was being the aggressor then all good, but if opponent was able to meet fire with fire or indeed getting better of him, then his was not handled well by Tyson, even getting a urge for a tasty morsel of a earlobe or perhaps staying on canvas.

The chances of Wilder putting him to the canvas would have been slim.

Of course I can't condone what Mike did with Evander, but Evander did purposely keep head butting him.

He tried to get up against Buster and he could have quit much earlier against Lewis had he have wanted to.

Also Wilder proved against Stiverne he can take solid left hook and keep a good stance using a jab and right hand, all it takes to beat Tyson.

I agree with most of what you say there but it just pisses me off arguing with ppl who dismiss the size differences and claim guys like Tyson are invincible in today's world. I have friends who don't really follow boxing let alone know anything about Mike Tyson other than a highlights reel who claim he would knock out every fighter within two rounds. If size is no obstacle then where are the 5ft 10 heavyweight champions today. Infact why stop at 5ft 10, why is there no 5ft 5 heavyweight champions today. It isn't the be all and end all but size plays a factor in boxing and is essentially why we have weight divisions.

Saying that I think Tyson would beat wilder due to being able to get on the inside and I don't think wilder would have the boxing ability to keep him at bay.
I do think that both Klitschko's would of had a decent chance of beating even a prime Tyson especially wlad under Manny steward when he was safety conscious.
I would probably fancy Tyson fury against Tyson especially if it made it out the early rounds as Tyson was never great at going the distance.
Saying that it's all just speculation.
This is coming from a Tyson fan btw.

As Wilder has said "my opponent has to be perfect for 12 rounds, and I only have to be perfect for one second", with the bomb that Wilder possesses i would say chances are much better than slim that Tyson would hit the deck, likewise of course Tyson could be putting pummelling on Wilder for the count.

Yes Holyfield was using his head as a third fist, we have i'm sure even in amateurs faced the occasional head first opponent, however every boxer knows you must leave it to the ref to take action or use your own gloved fist as the solver of wrongs, not re-enact the squared circle version of JAWS twice.

Tyson’s marauding come forward style, weaving & ducking side to side before exploding with rapid combinations of hooks and crosses would destroy what little defence Wilder has.

    Ding Ding Round One
    Wilder “ WTF is thi. . . . .”
    Ref “1....2....3..
Commentator “It’s over, the Ref has waved off the count”
    Tyson “I ate his children!”

    Result
Tyson by KO after 14 seconds of Round One

Me “l’m so glad I stayed up till 4am to watch that”

You can't just say "90's Tyson" - all versions of him in that decade are not a monolith. There are three distinct Mikes at least in the 90's.

    Two stop Wilder.

80's Kid Dynamite takes him out in a matter of minutes.

Tons of facts has been presented in this thread but the cult keeps going. I can also add that Tyson was knocked down in sparring in his peak days before he lost his first pro fight. In sparring, David Tua against Holyfield has shown a lot more game in a similar style than Tyson; same aggression, same power, wider variety of punch, more discipline and more defense, he did not buy a belt with his money that's the only difference. Only thing Tyson was able to do against Holyfield is close the distance and wrestling. Tua versus Ibeabuchi is the ultimate testimony that he was better than Tyson, but as soon as early 90's the Heavyweight division was already too strong for smaller contender with limited reach.

Tyson's head movement and bumrushing body attack and hooks to the head would ko Wilder in less than 3 rounds. Wilder would not be able to make contact.
