He's not 282lbs. He weighed in with most of clothes, at the very least his phone in his pocket, did he have his shoes on? He was wearing that ****ing hat. Compare this to last time when he weighed in with his underwear and a bandanna. He also had three of his five meals before weighing in, the weigh in being later than last time. So, he's probably in almost exactly the same shape as he was last time. I did hear that Ruiz hasn't been working out since he got to Saudi, but I guess he's done most of the hard work by then.
He has to win this one. If not then he's finished imo. It's crazy that we should even Be having threads like this concerning a rematch . Going in to the first fight Joshua had it all, if hed have beaten Ruiz then right now he'd have been seen as THE threat to Wilder no doubt about it. Now he has to get past Ruiz..! Madness.
Ugh, **** knows, it's a horrible fight to predict. But i'm way more interested in AJ's weight than Ruiz's, he's way light.
That's a I agree it's getting lose in the Ruiz discussion. I'm not sure less weight will help him, *unless* it's merely the byproduct of focus on cardio. I know they say that it is, but we've seen guys boil down in the past and look depleted. I've always wanted Joshua to carry less bulk, but hopefully he did it the right way.
I presume that he's looking to move a bit while bringing the pain. I can't believe he thinks he can do twelve at the pace Ruiz will try to inflict; or maybe he's betting on Ruiz's apparently superior gas tank to fail late with the fat. Didn't look that way out in NZ though. So I presume it's a hybrid plan, looking to bring the pain while moving and aiming to close the blinds or at least have Ruiz totally under control in eight or nine.
Joshua also had a 4 inch height advantage and an 8 inch reach advantage over Ruiz when they fought in June.
I love that the broadcast team is so excited that the stadium was erected in "just five weeks!" Yeah, it's amazing what you can do when you have slave labour at your disposal.
It's the same way in the American South. They love to host tourists at these old plantations and boast about the "meticulous attention to detail" on the grounds. Well, when you consider the people who did all the work and the circumstances under which they did it, I guess they *were* pretty attentive. They don't like to talk about that part, tho.
he was 268 the first fight, hes definitely bigger now. Perhaps 275 in his underwear. Hasn't completely blown out but still the trappings of the good life are showing a tad.
Joshua is at the ideal weight. He needs speed and mobility and he should have it at the weight he is. I'm calling Joshua to win via TKO in rounds 6-9. If Ruiz is fat and slow, it could be a fast night.
He has more than a 4" height advantage. I have stood right next to him and he is no taller than 5'11''.
