The ring is going to the Prince's palace after this. I imagine him in there late at night, shadow boxing and listening to this:

I think in general it became cool for the boxing hipsters to say how great Ruiz is/was and they knew it all along despite him being a fatty to prove they are cool and know their stuff when in reality they didn’t and he only won because Joshua allowed him.

If he lands the cleaner, better shots whilst doing that (which he was) then isn’t that the name of the game?

See Apollo and Rocky’s gay cuddling in the water there. I reckon Froch dreams of him and Groves eloping and doing that one day.

Another reason why Fury would beat him, could out box him or out heart him in a battle. If Wilder hit Joshua with the shot he hit Fury with in the 12th round, he would still be laying on his back in the ring just now.

Ruiz is a quality boxer, mate. He genuinely is very dangerous on the inside, and Joshua had a couple of panicky moments tonight where Ruiz finally had him in his sights and let his hands go. I don’t believe he’s a flash in the pan and I was a fan of his before June 1st. However, there’s a blueprint to beat him and Joshua exemplified that beautifully tonight. Fury would do exactly the same to him. I didn’t think Joshua had that in him, but he’s evolved and credit to him.

I quite enjoyed tonight’s boxing. Thought that Whyte v Wach fight was engaging viewing. Hunter should have got the nod. The Croatian lad looks a bit Kownacki like. A couple of quick stoppages but all in all, that was a fun night.

He has always had a good jab mate, though it's delivered more relaxed, faster and with more variety when he is less muscle bound like in this fight.

I agree mate, he is dangerous but someone with the advantages Joshua has over him will only lose if he neglects them and gives the other lad a chance like he did on the first fight. I’m not saying Ruiz is not skilled I actually think he is but I watched the first one back yesterday and he was getting battered before Joshua got careless.

I agree also, tonight there were a few hairy moments for AJ but that was to be expected in my opinion. I do feel Ruiz as he kind of eluded to has not exactly lived the life since he won the belts, so that also didn’t help. Most people thought with a full proper camp he’d come in lighter himself.

I only watched the Povetkin fight on the undercard but her defo didn’t deserved the draw. I ended up watching the American commentary and they had Povetkin winning

    A win is a win

Watch Ruiz vs Parker or the Dimiforgethis name and he looked way more agile.....tonite he was stuck in first gear wadding thru cement, he had absolute no snap in him...he never ever was able to press AJ......no excuses but it looks like he hardly trained and got just hog fat while training at the buffet.

Against Fury and Wilder AJ will not have success with that kind of fight plan, guaranteed

Pudding Whyte is probably next and then that stiff from Bulgaria, yawn......IMO AJ/Hearns will not take ANY risks anytime soon and all fight from now will be in the UK.

Hater. Did you want him to sit in the pocket and get filled in within 4. It weren’t a wlad esque performance he hit ruiz with his best shots he didn’t blink? What did you want him to do? He was still guilty of hooking up close on at least three occasions. I’m on this forum cos I like to discuss boxing not entertain prats. Back up your shpiel or go have a row with smarterchild

Tell you what though lads....we have little digs at Canelo for his contract stipulations in regards to weight. Well Hearn and co played an absolute blinder getting that ring to be 22 feet. I’m not sure Ruiz would have done anything in a 20 feet ring but that’s not my point here. That was a clever bending of the rules that.

I.e the art of boxing. The same people who say floyd was a dosser because he wouldn’t plant his feet an have a shoot out with the likes of Canelo and pac. Would also like to say the opinion of aj having a glass chin is false. He doesn’t like being swung at stiffens up slightly but he holds a fair shot

Joshua tried the knock out route last time and got knocked out himself, he couldn't get him out in 4 or 5 rounds so its a moot point. He even hit Ruiz with some hard shots this fight, just made Ruiz angry and he ended up getting tagged himself. He fought the fight he needed to against this particular opponent, anything else would likely have been ineffective. Its an impressive win because when he last fought this guy he was damn near knocked out of the ring. You cant blame AJ at all for this game plan, for the immense pressure he was under, it was an impressive feat. I never believed he could do that personally so proved wrong on a lot of counts.
