Korobov is a tricky customer, and if Eubank was going to win the conventional way it was probably going to be an attritional affair. He wasn’t going to outbox Korobov. The fight was following the expected formula until the stoppage, and there’s no way of knowing how it was going to play out down the stretch.
His whole career is a con. He hasn’t beat anyone who wasn’t way past it or not very good and never will.
He must be so disappointed. Not fought for nearly a year, 12 week camp, getting punched several times in the head without landing a meaningful shot on his US debut on a PPV show and then his opponent knackers his shoulder.
Agreed. Though reading the thread title I was expecting him to be taking a pasting. He wasn’t. Ate a few left hands but was doing alright with his jab. It was a close first round that I gave to Korobov because of landing the better shots. Was shaping up to be a good fight. Korobov is a decent fighter. Don’t see Eubank jr winning a genuine world title but he’s done well considering. Fringe world level contender.
Let your opponent use you as a punch bag until they injure their shoulder. It came too late against Groves but this time it paid off.
Gotta remember Korobov's shoulder popped because it hit Eubank's very hard head. Didn't pop out while he was asleep, eating or on the way to the ring. Popped out while fighting.
He seemed to run into eubanks shoulder with his head immediately before grimacing in pain ??? Likely not properly warmed up coming in. I see if far too often.
It's just a freak accident Len, unfortunately or rather fortunately for Eubank it's happened twice against him. Korobov won the first round clearly, it wasn't even close.
his management need to fix up as his career is going pear shaped. he's an exciting fighter but should have gone with warren or fast car from the start.
