Firstly well done Joshua great performance boxed brilliantly boxed in a way I didn't think he could and deserves all the credit that has come his way. Stops Al haymon ruining the heavyweight division for the next few years however that performance by Ruiz imo Is a disgrace he showed last night what a total lack of respect he has for the position he is in hundreds of fighters who dedicate their life to boxing and never get close to a title shot but they still turn up committed and fit and put it all on the line for a fraction of the money Ruiz earned last night. For me he shouldn't receive his purse he looked an embarrassment and then openly admitting in the press conference he has been partying to much and hasn't trained well if that's the case **** off from boxing and do that let dedicated hard working and far more deserving people have their shot!!
100% agree with this -- very unprofessional and disappointing. And having the cheek to ask for a third fight makes it worse.
The tweets from Andre Ward and Caleb Truax summed it up perfectly for me... Ward mentioned Ruiz saying he was willing to die in the ring but it didn’t need that, just for him to have the discipline and courage to push the plate away and put himself in the best position to win... Truax quoted Andy post fight making excuses about being overweight and not training properly...”literally the two worst excuses you can make in boxing”.
So much for the 147 Sky staff in Saudi, purportedly delving into every aspect of the fight during their week there, and failing to highlight his lack of conditioning. Same goes for the handful of BBC reporters.
The thing is a fit Ruiz say 18st is a match for anyone he has an unbelievable chin he can box and he has power he had a chance of becoming a house hold name and a good champion and being in some huge fights. Now I understand he has probably come from nothing been teased all his life and becoming champ and having millions in the bank is going to change you whoever you are but what he did last night was dangerous being that out of shape and not being able to avoid punches surely was an accident waiting to happen that could have ended badly
Do you not think it was strange there was no 24/7 build-up show for this fight. No 40 days show on DAZN either. This was the biggest fight of the year by a long way. It was in everyone's best interest that Joshua won that fight, If Ruiz won the rematch it would have been a disaster for DAZN, Matchroom and Sky.
I really dont get why some fighters do this, no good comes from the excuses. Ruiz really turned the fight into a farce saying he didnt train properly, it was a classless thing to do when Joshua took his loss in June. Its a shame, lost a lot of respect for Ruiz for that. Would he really expect people to believe he would be in shape next time....
There was no doubt that the promotion afforded AJ some advantages and then Andy forgot to work out. AJ did perform as well.
Ruiz is Human Wasted a huge opportunity but probably never thought this day would come He wasnt ready for it and it looks like he acted like a lottery winner Desire died when the cheque cleared
Ruiz is a proud PUDDING who humiliated Anthony Fury-Klitschko in New York 1 June 2019 will always go down as the day of the pudding.
What it does demonstrate is how the true greats have a different mindset (without wanting to get all deep and AJ on the forum). How many potentially great fighters have been one hit wonders over the years? Even Tyson Fury to an extent, got to the top of the mountain and felt it was mission complete. AJ could’ve turned up for the paycheck and wondered off into the sunset...
Bottom line Blob the amount of fat you have is directly attributed to the amount of calories you eat compared to the amount of movement you do.. The Blob obviously ate too many calories and didn't move enough...
