Christina Hammer was happy to trade with Ortiz and like I said he lit him up with right hands all night. He was landing it at will. Bootleg Dorticos was literally terrified of getting caught by Ortiz's left cross and it took him 7 rounds to time him with a flush one after having been soundly outboxed for the previous 6 by a senior citizen.

We should accept Wilder is number 1 for that win though, laughable.

I really do not understand what some of you people think Joshua did wrong.

Joshua did his job and win the fight, Ruiz has proven to be a good win to have on your resume.

I think some people are just upset that Joshua won the rematch.

Bootleg Dorticos was never #1 and truth be told he should've had his licence revoked for losing to the inactive muscle atrophied drug-ravaged suicidal 40% shell of Fury's shot ghost on his own turf.

$100m 3 fight deal a crap contract? That included Wilder geting twice the amount for fighting Breazeale than he actually did get.

What are you on mate? Wilder wants the fight, look at all the risks he’s taken in his career and all those unification fights he talks about. Haha.

Joshua did the right thing. I bet he couldn't believe his luck when Ruiz came in so heavy and he was a stone lighter.

I'd be willing to wager standing in front of Deontay Wilder will resolve the question of whether Ruiz can be knocked out.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, it wasn't a GREAT redemption win. It was a good win fighting on the outside done what he needed too, it was a very safe fight. What made Lennox' s win rematch against Rahman so good, was that he knocked Rahman out in spectacular fashion and took the mans soul along with his belts back.

until that happens people should be careful how critical they are of how Joshua handled Ruiz, this win could age well. It wouldn’t be a shock if Ruiz knocked wilder out ether. Against a skilled fighter with a decent chin you have to wonder.

It's a boxing match not a street fight, it's all about adapting tactics that get you the win. Knockout artists tend to have shorter careers than boxers

Of course he wouldn't be impressed. Joshua boxed. Wilder doesn't even know what that is.

Don't like Wilder but I'm not impressed with AJ either.
AJ fought a super cautious fight against an opponent who was ill prepared and there for the taking. AJ could have gotten his revenge Lennox Lewis style in this one but instead he won a boring decision.
And stop with this smart boxing and hit and don't get hit thing. Joshua didn't box. He ran. There's a difference to that. If Ruiz had been in a halfway decent shape, counter punching and throwing combinations for 12 rounds, AJ wouldn't have been able to win a decision with his game plan. Instead, he got lucky that Ruiz was so out of shape that he had to measure himself and was limited to throwing single shots.
