Is Andy Ruiz lazy? He is 286 lbs, but he has boxed since 6 and has 105 amateur fights...

Normally, if you are 286 lbs I would assume you are lazy and have little discipline.

But, how is it possible Andy Ruiz is 286 lbs? I mean, if you have enough willpower and motivation to box since you were 6, and have 105 amateur fights, and competed in the Olympics, and 33 professional fights, then how can you not just eat cleaner or eat less food?

I understand for the regular joe, dieting can be hard. But if you can train discipline yourself to fight 105 times, surely you can put the extra plate of food down.

Or is his genetics just really bad?

I am a fat ass myself, but if someone told me I have to fight in front of millions, you best believe I will do whatever I can to lose all the fat and at least look like I tried.

He also has all the money in the world for the best dietitians and nutritionists.

No disrespect to Andy. He is a legit top 5 heavyweight. But if he doesn't get his diet under control we are going to end up having a going away party for his foot.

With the amount of training and intensity of training that Andy Ruiz does, he must consume alot of calories to be able to maintain the blubber he has.

Following the AJ win a lot of drinking went on, which when added to the food. Causes you to gain a lot of weight quickly.

I also wouldnt rule out him cutting corners. Not doing the full circuit and sometimes not turning up for training as well.

He has wasted an insane amount of talent and a great chance to create a lasting legacy. His legacy now will be like Buster Douglas Mark 2. A one hit wonder who faded into obscurity.

He's definitely not lazy, HW world champion until 2 days ago. But, he does have a severe food addiction.

Andy Ruiz is lazy. There is no doubt about it. He eats like a pig when he's not in camp and think he can lose the weight.

His ideal weight should be 250 and he can make 250 if he trained properly. He sucks in his gut in every weigh in. Who is guy trying to fool?

I don't think lazy is the right word. I think he is fame drunk. Got too much money in his hands just makes him totally unmotivated.

Homemade Mexican cooking is a wonderful delight but at the same time, a freaking terror.
