Fighting is february is a pipe dream.........plus the Holidays.....that gives it like a month of promotion.....not happening.

IMO Arum is stalling with Fury a willing participant ........I bet my bottom dollar that Arum is throwing every wrench in the machine to the Pulev mandatory, getting the Bodybuilder stripped and Fury will get a belt fighting the Bulgarian never was..........or something similar with the WBO......Arum is trying to get a belt for Fury with the least amount of risk and then after fighting another string of no hopers getting on with the Wilder fight...............its right there.......they are pitching the lineal of the linealst belt when ever Fury fights......so they want a REAL belt for marketing purposes.

Hopefully Wilder gives that fat bum Whyte his shot and finally gets a body on his record.....just kidding.......guaranteed High light reel KO.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Fury has a slipped disc from all that wrestling rubbish

I've said this a million times and see nothing which suggests I'm wrong.

Bob Arum got involved with Tyson Fury because he knows the biggest money making fight in heavyweight boxing, and one of the biggest money making fights in boxing full stop, is Joshua v Fury, and he wants part of it. If anyone thinks he's remotely concerned about Tyson flapping around in front of nobody against some no mark in an empty Vegas arena they need their head testing.

I agree that I think both TR and PBC know this fight doesn’t do the kind of numbers they original thought. I think they will postpone with a funny injury. Wilder will take a tick over and Fury will fight for either the IBF against Pulev if AJ vacates or they will try and push for the Usyk fight with WBO. Based on Arums relationship with WBO I can see that being a key reason the Usyk mando was called on the night of the AJ win.

I think it helps both if they can get a couple of winnable voluntaries in to build for a late 2021 unification.

I really hope it happens even if that date doesn’t happen.

It will be on either Feb 22nd, Feb 29th, March 7th or March 14th. You can forgive a small delay as long as it gets done.

Are you excited for Fury/Wilder 2? Yes or no?

    Assuming it happens.

Yes or no is all I need.

The man is clearly hoping and praying it doesn't happen. He's afraid of the fight generating big money and he knows the winner is the undoubted no.1 of the division. Tony Hayers - alleged boxing fan.

That should not be said, even in jest.

    Yes.

I’ve said all along I think it does happen, just not as early as some think. It’ll be good to have some progress made.

I’m not afraid of the fight generating big money. I just don’t think it will.

Why wouldn't it make big money. The first fight made big money.

    325,000 US PPV's @ $75 = Just shy of 25 million dollars.

    420,000 UK PPV's (via wikipedia) @ 20 pounds = Just under 8.5 million pounds.

That's well over 30 million generated not including the gate. But yea, the rematch is a waste of time :D

There’s not a chance AJ vacates that IBF. It’s the easier of the 2 mandatories and Usyk is an “in-house” fighter so if he was to take the belt then the unification is easy to make. Also I can’t see Fury accepting a Usyk fight for the vacant belt so it would then be Usyk vs Whyte/Parker for the vacant WBO.

The only thing about those UK PPV numbers is I don't remember ever getting a source on those.

There was a video with Arum or Haymon and they said 400+ world wide and had previously stated 320 US buys. Doesn’t take a genius to work it out.
