He avoids them for a good reason... He can't deal with them properly and his power is ineffective.

He fought only 3 tall heavyweights so far.

Joshua KTFO Whyte, Whyte UD Helenius and Wach. He looked **** poor against both men.

The problem is he can't use his powerful short left hook because they're all standing out of range. Wilder probably stops him early on as well...

Joshua is very good fighter, so being KO'ed by him is not a shame.

Wach has one of the best chins in boxing history. He has never been knocked down in his career, and he faced some excellent punchers. Out of shape Whyte looked bad against Wach but he still nailed him with a number of left hooks - Wach was just able to take them all like he did with prime and roided Povetkin's and Miller's punches without being hurt at any point of both fights. Hell, he even took Wlad's best punches and even 15 or 16 power punches in a row from hard-hitting Martin Bakole without going down. His chin is just incredibly good.

Helenius - yes, Whyte looked poor against Robert and I think he would always look bad against a fighter who only tries to survive. But I don't think it was because of height. I think he would look awful against 6'3'' Kevin Johnson for example.

As for WIlder, I think Deontay will likely KO Whyte - I agree here with you.

Tend to agree, might be his achilles heal against tall fighers that dont like to engage, but against AJ he had no problem engaging and closing distance? He tagged AJ like a million times... body... head... body...

He tagged Wach plenty of times, Whyte had good reach... check out last one minute of round ten Wach vs Whyte where Whyte really goes for it.

Helenius we said came to survive, it's not hard to make someone look bad by running around and avoiding an engagement.

But overall I reckon Whyte would struggled with Tyson Fury unless he comes up with a good gameplan.

As for Wilder... Ortiz had no issue closing the distance... Whyte has a long jab and reach... he will have no problem catching Wilder... he just needs to perfect his should roll to avoid breazeale like KO...

Whyte can take a punch, he has good punch resistance... and as an added layer of security... he has started defending his face by keeping his guard up... so they guy is really tough now.

Eh I reckon he gets KO'd brutally by Wilder, his chin isn't all that great and he isn't as fast.

He isn't the fastest, but he aint as slow as you think, and he has plenty experience with fast fighters... dealt with Parker just fine, and Parler is 2.5 times fast in every department.

Dillian has a good chin for reals, took massive punishment from AJ, more than Ruiz has ever taken. and only went down once in the knockdown... klitckho was down 3 times... and even he didnt take as many shots as Whyte.

Shame there are no punch stats for the fight, but we can count them together... I have nothing to lie about or hide.

Wilder can defo KO Whyte, but it defo won't be like Breazeale... Whyte is way more seasoned than him, and smarter... would never leave his chin out like that.

He is going to come out from round 1, and maul Wilder against the ropes.. Wilder wont be given a chance to do jack ****... he will mash Wilder up... and if he gets decked so be it... if he doesnt.. we have a new WBC champion ACTUAL...

And Whyte can move on to bigger things.

I see your points but can't say I'm sold on this.

Helenius I agree, he didn't look great in that fight... it was all "one pace" but from what I remember, after the first 2-3 rounds Helenius didn't want to engage at all.

However against Joshua, that was his first taste on the big stage just one year back after his 2 year lay off - he didn't exactly have a proper camp for that fight and it was the worst kept secret in boxing that he was carrying a shoulder injury (even from the Brian Minto fight) which then completely went in the round he buzzed AJ.

Against Wach, how much can we really take from that fight? All it was about, was getting him out under the lights on a big show before the end of the year..... the fight was put together very late on, he hardly had a camp and weighed in 25 pounds heavier than the Chisora rematch.

Excellent posts, you wrote it all in a calm and collected manner, I should really take notes.

He's open for straight rights a bit so against a 6'6 or above guy he's going to have trouble. I had Whyte beating AJ prior to Ruiz 2 but knowing that AJ can use a Jab and Right hand effectively, I think Whyte will lose this time. His chin is a bit suspect still, dropped by Parker, AJ and Rivas, I don't think he can take a Wilder right or AJ punishment, nothing wrong with that though. Fury will run rings around him too.

If Breazeale fought him at the start of the year that would've been a better telling, I think Whyte would've won that fight though.

Name me a fighter that has taken more punishment/punches from AJ than Whyte?

I'd Say Klitschko and Breazeale took more damage. Breazeale just sponged but Whyte put up way more of a fight
