We've got an excellent fight here, but I take Nelson, I think he's a little better. And it shows.

I loved Lopez as a kid, he was some kind of puncher and a really exciting fighter.
Despite that I would put my money on “ the Professor “.
Azumah had a great chin and was too good a boxer ( and he could punch ) for “ Little Red “ to handle in my opinion.

    Cheers All.

Little Red cracked the uncrackable and would here. Nelson would start t-ing off and then it would be over as Danny bites and knocks him OUT!!!!!

Little Red very well might beat the Nelson that Sanchez did, but I would call it 50/50 a mature and seasoned Prime Nelson I think would stop him in the championship rounds.

Nelson gets off canvas to win a tough but clear decision

Nelson would work his way to a later stoppage.

But who wouldn't wanna see a Little Red comeback KO?

Nelson by late stoppage. He's simply a better fighter for mine and would get around past Danny's big power.

I loved Little Red as a super exciting warrior but he was very hittable .. Nelson was an all time great featherweight , so tough, so solid, terrific chin and skills .. he'd best Danny up late ..

Late rounds TKO by The Professor for my money - would be a hell of a fight though.

There are more pages on those stupid Marciano threads than there are responses on this one. The whole front page of the forum is heavyweight threads.

    Bump.

That's how I'd see it going, rounds 10-15 wouldn't be kind to Danny, but Ole Lopez was sure fun to watch

Love Lopez but perhaps not in this match. He’d get in his shots but I can see him getting stopped late in a fun fight.

It depends who is in better condition, Salvador Sanchez, once said, He Took Advantage Of Danny Looping His Right Hand, in their two fights. I see Lopez winning this fight early, especially with a knockdown, in round 4, but Azumah gets up, takes this fight into the later rounds, as he did with Sanchez. The only difference here, is that this time Nelson is the one that wins this one by a stoppage in round 15. Both fighters are all time greats.
